I wanted a good book to review for the national registry paramedic exam. I bought 5 different books but this one was the best. I passed the test the first time.

This text was an excellent review of what I see working as a paramedic in an urban setting in New Jersey. I utilized it for review of the NREMT-P which I had let lapse several years ago (bad idea on my part). What I noticed, however, was the actual questions on the test were different compared to the type of questions presented in this book. I went through every chapter in this book and completed both CD tests as well and scored in the mid 90% each time. The NREMT exam asked questions relating to very specific OB-GYN, MCI, Trauma and medication classifications that I didn't see in this text. My advice to the Medic/Medic student is utilize this book and regarding the areas of care that are not commonly seen in your service region and expand on those with other quality resources. I passed first time at 80 questions so I am not complaining. Excellent text...utilize to identify weak areas and then expand on each area beyond this text. Good luck!

I used this book about 1 week before my NREMT-P test. The book is divided into sections as is registry. I passed the first time. No book can simulate national registry due to the the computer test adjusting to your answers, but this book helped me prepare. I would encourage this purchase

This book was recommended to me by a co-worker, although I have not gotten completely through the book and exams yet....I am very pleased. It is just as I expected and wanted.

This is one of a few excellent books for preparing for the state or national paramedic exam. I say one of a few because I prefer to review three or four to get a better balanced question format and answer rationales. I do feel this and the Brady book would be sufficient for a complete refresher prior to taking any paramedic exam.

This is the third paramedic book I have purchased in hopes to help me pass the "lets sucker you out of as much money as possible" paramedic written. I have failed the test three times. Studied Paramedic by Mcgraw, AMLS, PHTLS front and back and nada on the tests.. so I was told get a practice book. Got 100% on these tests.. but below passing on test. Save your money- you will need it to pay for multiple written tests.

This book has its ups and downs, I havent taken my Registry exam yet, therefore I dont know if it had did its justice. Some of the material covered was spot on from what I learned in medic school. Therefore there was some fairly difficult questions that I feel were not necessary and I had never been taught. I mean your not gonna know everything so maybe its just me. I do recommemend this book, I might even give it thumbs up after I pass my registry exam, Ill keep you all updated.

The paramedic instructor deemed this book "the perfect one" to purchase for review. The exam is in two weeks, I will let you know its true effectiveness when the results come back!

This book is a must just for the CD. I have been a medic for over 11 years. I challenged the national registry test and this helped. It wont replace hard studying which you have to do to even think about passing the test but it is a great tool to get you ready for the test taking portion of registry.

I tried several review books before my NREMT Paramedic test and this was by far the most helpful.

A lot of information, and the questions are truly NREMT style. I took the tests, and then evaluated my wrong answers and studied them. This works well with using online random generated tests too.

I've bought this book for a couple of friends, and it's my top recommendation.
