as a tutor typos are really annoying. i have come across at least 4 or 5 problems that are unsolvable, and when i look up the answer the problem there is different.

For all the hype people give Barron's, this product was sub-par. From math errors, to poorly explained questions, I was generally unpleased with the content for the price. This book could have been much more concise. I lost interest after the first fifty pages, and that didn't even include any practice problems. I already knew most (if not all) of the concepts it introduced from school, making it redundant and boring. I was much more satisfied with perfect800.com, which gave me virtually unlimited practice problems. It also had a game-like feel, so studying wasn't as boring. Save your money, this product is NOT worth the buy!

I'm a senior in high school, and I've used this book in preparation for the SATS today. I trust Barron's over Princeton Review and Kaplan anyday.

The problems in this book is FAR MORE DIFFICULT than the problems on the SAT'S. This is a great book if you need to polish and reinforce your math skills for the SAT.

This book however, is NOT A GUIDE. It's not designed to teach you math that you're supposed to learn in high school. If you scored average on the SAT'S, around 500, this book is not for you. I suggest getting the blue collegeboard edition and do a few practice tests there for math so that you won't get discouraged.

This book also has many flaws. Like many others has said, there are typo's in the book. Don't trust the answer on the back of the book if you are extremely confident in your answer. Math problems are misprinted in the practice tests section of the book, (e.g. (X-Y)^2 in the practice test is actually (X+Y)^2 according to the answer section).

Is the 10 dollars worth it for this book?

Depends if you think you need help on math. Looking back, for me, it was a waste of money. The collegeboard edition was a much better value. However, due to my personal bias, i don't think it should affect the quality of this book. For those who want to polish their math skills, i think ten dollars is a small price to pay.

I bought this SAT Math Workbook for my son to prepare SAT. I just want to see how the book covers and found three errors after just a few pages scanning: Here are some findings:

Page 59. Table 3.2 two rules of exponents are wrong (out of four)
Page 64. Prob # 9 doesn't have a correct answer to choose, while two choices listed are identical.

At this point, I think I better to find other book for my son's SAT review.

This book is a repeat of old version. There were only a couple of new things in it.
Not worth the money!

I tutor high school students in their mathematics subjects and I suggest this workbook for my students who are interested in doing something extra to prepare for the test. It is comprehensive, clearly written and easy to use in the workbook form.

It is better to not study at all then to study from a book filled with errors. This book is just ridiculous. It is filled with errors (starting from the first page of the first lesson!) Studying from this book gives you wrong information, and will make you do worse than if you didn't study from anything at all.

I want a refund!
