Think Jurassic Park meets Aliens, War of the Worlds meets The Lion King, Europeans meeting Native Americans.....o.k., these are all bad comparisons. Just buy it and see, you'll love it!!
The graphic novel very much represents Manifest destiny, the Aliens are the endless tide of White settlers and the Dinosaurs are the Native Americans.
The art work is beyond gorgeous and the story is well told for something that sound so cheesy!
Give this one a read!
My 7 yr old brother is obsessed with dinosaurs so i lend it to him and he (although probably didn't understand what was happening) loved the art.
The pages are gorgeous, why had this idea never been done sooner, I refuse to give out spoilers, however the pages are stunning. Minimal dialogue yet you understand the story, perfect for those that love dinosaurs.
The story- what we have of it- is really pretty fascinating to me, and does a good job of setting up the conflict and giving all the characters believable motives. But it's just far too short! If this whole story was a movie, what's in this book might be the first 30 minutes or so- almost entirely exposition, with a tiny bit of character development. This book feels like the set-up for something big- and I hope we get that something, someday! Apparently, the people who created this are making it (or trying to)into a movie- that would be great, but I'd also love a comic continuation! I haven't been able to find any information about whether or not there will be further issues.
Slight spoiler. The aliens are dying but can combine with mammal DNA to survive. Granted we don't see where this is going as the book ends before that, but I suspect we can predict it.
Save your money and go read anything else.

This was a decent little read... not a whole lot to judge on, as it was very short... just when the story starts to get the ball rolling, it's over. Read morePublished on November 27, 2012 by BMOD
