I was sold on this title when I picked up the preview comic on Free Comic Book Day. It ended on a cliffhanger and I figured the actual book wouldn't do the same, but it did. That aside, the artwork is amazing and the story is really interesting. I will admit that I felt cheated at the end of the book as I first we would be getting the entire story in the one book. With that in mind, I'll still be getting the next book.

Just when I had given up hope that Grant Morrison could write a great story that you didn't need a doctorate or "street corner pharmaceuticals" to understand, he and Barry Sonnenfeld produce DINOSAURS vs. ALIENS!! The writing is top notch, and the artwork is breathtaking!! This is definitely a pitch for a movie, and after reading his book....You will agree with me that it is an awesome concept for a film, and I can't wait!!!

Think Jurassic Park meets Aliens, War of the Worlds meets The Lion King, Europeans meeting Native Americans.....o.k., these are all bad comparisons. Just buy it and see, you'll love it!!

With the technology of films advancing at a fast pace, after films like Avatar and Rise of The Planet of The Apes, I wanted to see a large scale story that didn't involve humans. Well Barry and Grant did that with Dinosaurs vs Aliens!

The graphic novel very much represents Manifest destiny, the Aliens are the endless tide of White settlers and the Dinosaurs are the Native Americans.

The art work is beyond gorgeous and the story is well told for something that sound so cheesy!

Give this one a read!

Grant Morrison can do no wrong, got the book today, read it loved it.
My 7 yr old brother is obsessed with dinosaurs so i lend it to him and he (although probably didn't understand what was happening) loved the art.
The pages are gorgeous, why had this idea never been done sooner, I refuse to give out spoilers, however the pages are stunning. Minimal dialogue yet you understand the story, perfect for those that love dinosaurs.

I really, really enjoyed reading this- I just wish there had been more of it! The art is really quite stunning- from my experience, this is pretty much top of the line for comic art. The dinosaurs are very accurately drawn (well, based on what we know about them) and it's easy to recognize different characters, even from the same species. The style is very realistic, not cartoony at all. The designs of the aliens are pretty cool too- nothing super innovative, but they don't immediately smack me as terribly derivative.

The story- what we have of it- is really pretty fascinating to me, and does a good job of setting up the conflict and giving all the characters believable motives. But it's just far too short! If this whole story was a movie, what's in this book might be the first 30 minutes or so- almost entirely exposition, with a tiny bit of character development. This book feels like the set-up for something big- and I hope we get that something, someday! Apparently, the people who created this are making it (or trying to)into a movie- that would be great, but I'd also love a comic continuation! I haven't been able to find any information about whether or not there will be further issues.

This is absolutely terrible. There is only a beginning, there is no ending to this comic. It should be labeled as "part 1." The plot is contrived and has been done before. Which is sad to say that a book called Dinosaurs versus Aliens has been done before for a plot.

Slight spoiler. The aliens are dying but can combine with mammal DNA to survive. Granted we don't see where this is going as the book ends before that, but I suspect we can predict it.

Save your money and go read anything else.

This is very short. Really short. I would feel kinda burned over it, but this is what I wanted and they delivered. The style is great, and the story was okay for just the start. Though the story ( Again) ends very quickly, I think they some what make it up by including various drawings of what they wanted before they were published. I would say this is worth it, but it's not. Not matter how much I want to say it is. They should definitely just make the story complete and finish it as a whole book instead of this little thing.

Disappointed Grant Morrison let his name get attached to this silliness. But it's not even so silly that it's funny/entertaining. It tries to be believable even though anyone with just vague knowledge of science could spot the giant holes in logic. The art starts off spectacular and then dives down to average about half-way through when Mukesh Singh is replaced by someone else. Also, this book is only the beginning of a story, and ends before much too soon to really give you a feeling of value.
