Barry's Gift is a good first film. It is very interesting. the film is ten years old but will hold up as a horror film.

5.0 out of 5 stars CREEPY STUFF, February 10, 2004
This review is from: Barry's Gift [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Writer, Director Francis Xavier will break all rules with his new film "Johnny Come Lately". When I first heard that this truly wonderful filmmaker from Baltimnore was in production on a new film. I could only imagined what he had come up with this time. After watching his first film "Barry's Gift" at the Maryland Film Festival. I was intrigued to know just how creative you have to be to make an independent film. A film such as Barry's Gift. He is definitely a new voice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Horror Horror Horror, February 10, 2004

This review is from: Barry's Gift [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Barry's Gift is one of the greatest independent horror films ever made. As far as low budgets go there are no comparisons on a scale like this. Director Francis Xavier has a voice unlike any horror writer, director in the biz. This talented filmmaker has the right stuff and with his new film Johnny Come Lately in production, Francis Xavier is the new name of horror.
