I live on a hill with a spectacular view of the town and the waterfront. I use the scope to observe the wildlife in the swamp near the waterfront. The clarity and the magnification is amazing. I can read number plates on vehicles as far as a mile away.....that is amazing.
The further the object or the more magnification you use, the more difficult it is to focus on. But with practice and regular use you will master the art.......great product.

As a spotting scope it is a little big. Bigger than I realized. But, a great price. I've used it once at the shooting range and wish that I'd have bought the smaller less powerful version. It works best on a bright day shooting at rife distances. I used a camera tripod, but should have used the one that came with it. My camera tripod was not stable and that probably impacted my ability to use the scope as I should have. I'll definitely give it another chance and could change my mind. I would prefer something smaller however since I only want to use it with a hand gun.

I gave this to my husband for Christmas, he loved it. However, you get what you pay for. Lot of other nicer ones out there, but this was affordable and gets the job done.
