4.0 out of 5 stars Very good for the price
I like these small, compact and capable binoculars. The image is very good, but not great. The focus works well, but can be somewhat imprecise at times.

They are not the best binocs I have used, but I am not worried about taking them with me into poor conditions or getting them lost as they were so inexpensive. I can also let my kids use them without...

1.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Bad. Even For the Money
Bought three of these to keep on the ATV and in the vehicles. One seems pretty good but another cannot be adjusted for one eye well enough to bring into focus and the other simply has an optic flaw on one side that makes it look like using a fish-eye lens. Pretty poor quality control.

And, they do do a very good job.

If you are looking for some knockabout, small binocs that you can carry anywhere and not worry about losing, these fit the bill perfectly.

Wonderful small, light... easy to focus binoculars.... Amazing for the price and equal in clarity to my $$$ pair of Minoltas from years ago. Highly recommended.

I just received this one today. I was impressed with the quality of the material for something so cheap. It works well, the focus is sharp and it adjusts smoothly. It also comes with a small carrying case to keep it from getting scratched. Worth the price.

I ordered a pair of these for each of my three small children for Christmas because they were always asking to use my big binoculars. These are great compact binoculars with really good clarity and ease of use. They are so lightweight and nicely sized that they are perfect for my kids, but would also be great for anyone who doesn't want to carry a big, bulky set around. And at only $9.99 each...they are an excellent value. Now my kids can go out and explore and look for birds or other wildlife and I don't have to worry about them damaging my binoculars.

3.0 out of 5 stars decent compact binos, but adjustment wheel is loose, February 26, 2009
I bought these and another set of compact binoculars, to replace a set of Tasco 8x21 compact binos that I got about 10 years ago - but recently lost while hiking in eastern Arizona. I have larger binos at home, but wanted something very compact and light in weight that could be carried in my pocket or backpack. I ordered this set of Barska Lucid 16x32 compact binos, along with a set of Tasco Essentials 8x21 Binocular (Black)) from Amazon. Delivery of both sets was very quick. The Barska 16x32 are definitely the more powerful pair and useful for looking at distant objects in a landscape, hawks perched on distant trees, etc..., but they are not quite so sharp, clear and bright as the Tasco 8x21 set -- not really all that surprising as this is a pretty powerful magnification level for a rather small lens size. That said, I wasn't expecting something incredible in this price range, so was pleasantly surprised that they were actually as good as they are. They are definitely serviceable and adequate for what is a pretty low price. I would have rated them a bit higher for their optics, but can't give them more than 3 stars as the focus adjustment wheel is loose and I have to fiddle with it too much and then it tends to creep back out of focus. It may just be that this particular set are slightly defective and perhaps it's more a quality control problem, but regardless, it's annoying and problematic. It's really too bad about the focus adjustment problem as, if that worked as well as on the Tasco 8x21 set that I bought at the same time, they would be a pretty decent set for the cost. One other thing about them is that they are really just a bit larger than what some people might call "pocket binos". However, they are very light in weight and do fit in a larger jacket pocket, so I find them quite convenient -- definitely not as bulky as a regular set of binos, especially in this magnification range.

I had a little more expectation for this pair of $10 binoculars because of generally good reviews. But in reality, the optics is not good. There is strong chromatic aberration that affects its image quality. The neck strap is a toy-like nylon string. Is it worth $10? probably. I will use it for disposable purposes. Is it a real bargain? Probably not.

5.0 out of 5 stars absolutely great, January 16, 2009

these binoculars enable you to see terrific detail of objects from a distance. the detail of pike's peak from colorado springs is so great through these it's unbelievable for a pair so compact. as another person stated they are too good for say a ball game but superb for long distance like on a 4x4 trail.

This is a crazy low price for these. They work surprisingly well and have a nice quality and feel. The pic shown of the black 8 x 25 binocs is not what you get. They are a cool green/black cammo swirl color and are 10 x 25 as the title states. I recommend these for the price - they come with a case and cleaning cloth too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great quality, super low price, September 9, 2008
This review is from: Barska Lucid View Compact Binoculars In Camo- Choose Size (Electronics)
These are top notch binoculars for a bargain price. The folding design means it will comfortable fit kids, even toddlers, which may not be possible with traditional adult-sized binocs. These fit my whole family and feel like they'll last a very long time!
