The Point 'n' View also includes a 1.5-inch TFT color screen for viewing camera images, along with a Secure Digital (SD) memory card slot for storing the photos. And thanks to the multicoated optics, you can rest assured that the images will look crisp and clear. Other details include a menu/control panel, a compact design that fits easily in a backpack or bag, an automatic CMOS image sensor that makes the optimal changes in different light conditions, a USB cable, and a handy carrying case.

Tech Talk
Objective Lens: The diameter of the objective or front lens. The larger the objective lens, the more light that enters the binocular, and the brighter the image.

Field of View (F.O.V.): The side-to-side measurement of the circular viewing field or subject area. It is defined by the width in feet or meters of the area visible at 1000 yards or meters. A wide angle binocular features a wide field of view and is better for following action. Generally, the higher the magnification, the narrower the field of view.

Roof Prism System: In roof prism binoculars the prisms overlap closely, allowing the objective lenses to line up directly with the eyepiece. The result is a slim, stream-lined shape in which the lenses and prisms are in a straight line.

4.0 out of 5 stars Barska PV 8X32, July 23, 2008
This review is from: Barska Point 'N View 5.0MP 8x32mm Binocular (Electronics)
I bought this item earlier in July 2008, & I did get the 2GB mem card also. The binoculars were not in focus when it arrived. The focal length was off so you couldn't get both eyes in focus at the same time and the left eye prism was ascew so you would see two views instead of one. I was able to take the item apart and properly align the optics, and now the whole thing works great, and the camera takes hi quality pics @ all 4 settings. @ $30 an hour, I figure Barska owes me $45 for repairing their pour labor. I'm taking this Item to Alaska this fall, and I'll post a good pic when I get back.

1.0 out of 5 stars 2 that would not work!!!, February 25, 2008
This review is from: Barska Point 'N View 5.0MP 8x32mm Binocular (Electronics)
I received the first one and it had batteries already installled and corroded. I received the second one and it would not come on due to the battery terminals were under the housing which occured during assembly. Amazon stated that they had several returns of this item and no more were available!

4.0 out of 5 stars barska, point n' view 5.0 MP, December 27, 2007
This review is from: Barska Point 'N View 5.0MP 8x32mm Binocular (Electronics)
Seems to work ok.
They don't say in the info that you need to purchase an SD card to make it work. They make it sound optional. A big disappointment to someone when you give the camera to them for Xmas, and you don't have an SD card to make it work! Also, the instructions are not all that clear either. Nowhere in them do they say what to do to take a picture!
