Looks cool, but you get what you pay for,

I bought this because it really does look and sound like a great scope for the price for my 223 AR. When I got it the crosshairs were not straight?. So I thought... I could live with that, and mounted on my AR. The eye relief was horrid and if you were not looking exactly straight through it you had no clear view. The reticle is neat looking, but was very small for my eyes. I never bothered sighting it in. $100 is $100. No matter how cheap, you should be able to actual use the thing. Pay a little more and get a quality scope. Burris/redfield are not much more but MUCH better. Nikon and Leupold make a $350 scope with a 223 BDC. You truly get what you pay for with this China glass. I gave it a try and learned my lesson.

Works well so far on my heavy barrel Savage .223 rifle. I've only had two shooting sessions so time will continue to tell.
Pros: Sighted in at 100 yards with 55 grainers, and stayed on after adjusting the turret for a target at 300. I really like the reticle, and the illumination option with red, greed, or blue for low light or against different backgrounds is a definite plus. Solid and attractive construction - looks great. Cons: After 20x magnification it is not very clear with noticeable chromatic shift. BDC only out to 400 yards - after that you need holdover, but this is where the tactical reticle comes in to play. The side parallax adjustment and rear magnification adjustment are both a little stiff. My rifle bolt also hit the rear battery compartment/reticle turret forcing me to purchase higher scope rings. For the price, you can't expect it to not have some flaws. However, overall I am happy with the purchase and it does what I need it to do. It serves well for the average target shooter or varminter. I could definitely see it being used in law enforcement applications where budget is an issue.

After trying several scopes and mounts on my DPMS Sportical, this one is the most solid, quick target pick up, great accuracy and will hold it, the zero return is a must.

On my first experience, I was very impressed with the performance and immediately wrote a positive review. Little did I know that the quality on of this scope would eventually match all the bad reviews I've read. As quick as I wrote a positive review; I immediately had to change my review after my last use. It's really true with getting what you pay for. After my 3rd used, this scope completely lost the zero and I could not adjust back to zero. Thanks to Amazon, I was able to return this scope for a full refund (just returned today). Also lucky with the timing being that it broke a week before the return deadline. I'm new to the rifle scope industry and there's no better way to learn but through experience. This scope may work well on a low caliber rifle like a .22lr. Certainly not recommended on a .223 and higher. My guess is that the extra recoil on a 5.56 nato was too much for scope. Take it from me readers; don't learned the hard way. The extra $50 - $100 is well worth the name brand scopes. You may not be as lucky in getting a refund. Sorry Barska, I gave you a chance and you let me down.

Searched around for an affordable AR scope with BDC. Took this out, had it zeroed in no time. Changed up my mounting platform so the scope was off but had no trouble resighting it in (6 shots). Love the different illuminated reticle, some may consider this a unneeded accessory but there are times that it makes the difference.

Sighted in well. Optics not real clear with 18X and greater, but good for price of scope. IR works well. I would recommend it.

Great scope! With solid adjustment clicks it only took minutes to get the scope completely sighted in. Holds zero after 500 rounds. Only issue is that at 16x the optics are slightly blurry (just barily noticable).
