The Bartelt Salt or Herb Box is made of solid Alder wood. This round box is perfect for holding salt or herbs for easy "one-pinch" access. The swiveled lid makes for simple one-handing opening as well, perfect while cooking or for on the dinner table.The salt box is 3-1/2 wide by 2-1/2 tall.

This is an excellent product. I read multiple reviews looking for a salt box. Couldn't find a thing that sounded consistant in quality. Then I found the worn label on my own which was a gift years ago. Mine is still perfect. I have ordered 4 for gifts . Everyone is pleased. It might be a little small for large salt users, but then you should cut back on the salt. Too much is not a good thing.

Perfect and cute little salt box. Williams Sonoma would charge you over $20 for similar wooden box which exactly same size. I went there first then decided to order the Bartelt Salt of Herb box here. I have not one bit regret. The one sell in Williams Sonoma made by maple without wood sealed, so over time it would cost color change and mould depends where you live.
