Very good, with flaws, April 18, 2008
This review is from: Bartender's Guide, The - Over 1400 Recipes (Paperback)
This book is a very good book for bartenders and cocktail aficionados.
Pros: It's covered in plastic so you can actually keep it with you at a bar if you'd like. Over 1400 recipes! The book also has some useful information on tools, glassware, liquors, liqueurs, etc.
Cons: It does not contain a few semi-popular drinks served in the U.S: ie. oatmeal cookie, blue motorcycle, etc. As with any recipe book, recipes may vary slightly from what's considered "traditional".
Overall, it's a steal for the low price and the large quantity of information included.

Needs some editing, April 12, 2007
Wife bought this book for fun and personal use.
She is interested in Cosmopolitan.
I would assume this drink from the popular Sex & the City should be part of it.
Wrong! How come? No idea.
Other point I didnt like was that they mentioned that "Pisco" is chilean.
what?
Pisco is peruvian 100%. very wrong here.
A lot of non-alcoholic drinks info. I guess thats good.
The 2 above mentioned items made me very disappointed on the book.
Come on add cosmos (under Vodkas)
and correct Pisco is Peruvian and not Chilean.
