One of the Best Systems for Heavy Bags!, June 29, 2010
This review is from: Bas Rutten MMA System Workout (DVD)
I just received mine very quickly on standard shipping and looks perfect. If you have a heavy bag you need to get this system. It will make working out funner and harder at the same time. The cardio is tremendous and will get your heart rate up quickly and bust into a heavy sweat. I own several systems including p90x, the pit-crosspit- 20s, and Insanity. I use p90x as my main workout and add everything else in the mix in between days (I dont do yoga, kempo, or stretch on p90x). I will actually start doing the bas rutten right after the p90x workouts now and is way funner than the insanity workouts that i was doing for cardio. Dont get me wrong, insanity is great cardio but very repetitive and will wear your knees. The pit is also very good but it does not have as much bag work as Bas Rutten. In The Pit, you will be doing lots of bodyweight pushups, squats, burpees, then throwing you on the bag which is a very effective workout on its own. But the Bas Rutten has definitely exceeded my expectations and is tremendous for getting your heart into shape. And by the way, listening to the audio rather than watching it on the TV like other systems has also impressed me. You can just concentrate on the bag.

Great Endurance Training, March 4, 2009
This review is from: Bas Rutten MMA System Workout (DVD)
This is a great product. It is simple, easy to follow, and works for anyone at any level of conditioning. It is an extremely flexible system too, so you can customize your workout (by going longer or selecting different routines). I usually do one of the two 29 minute all-around-workout sessions (very fatiguing), then take a rest, stretch a bit, then do the fighting rounds (boxing, thai boxing, or all-around fighting). I mix it up to keep it fresh and work different muscle groups, and by giving you three different ways to train, Bas gives you that flexibility. There are both 2 minute and 3 minute rounds (you can do as many as you want), so again, you have the flexibility to customize your workout without just having to skip things, or take it easy. When using these CDs, NEVER take it easy. Just do more or less rounds to match your fitness level, but go FULL OUT on everything you do and you will see endurance and power gains very quickly. With proper diet, you will also get ripped doing these. If you are in it for fight training, you'll be very happy. Even if you are just in it to get a fighter's body, you will not be disappointed.

Bas rules!, January 6, 2009
This review is from: Bas Rutten MMA System Workout (DVD)
This will whip you into shape if you USE it, or it will collect dust if you never get off your butt. This is my first try at working out to a CD, and it turned my normal 12 minute bag hitting workout into a serious regimented 30 minute MMA workout session. All of you out there hitting your heavy bag in the garage for 45 seconds and then flexing in the mirror really need this. The consistency of this routine can and will improve your stamina and endurance. THIS IS AN MMA WORKOUT, NOT A SELF DEFENSE COURSE. BAS RULES!
