The drills and situations in this DVD cover a lot. Obviously the creator of this program has coached a long time and has seen many different things happen. I've coached a number of years and it gets frustrating sometimes and we as coaches have to keep reminding ourselves,"these are just 10,11 & 12 year old kids". With that said, INFIELD TEAM PLAY & STRATEGIES is about the most practical tool I've seen to get things across to young players. I've tried many of the drills and concepts in this DVD and they work!
This will help any new or experienced Little League coach.

Little League Baseball is one of the most popular team sports played by kids today. A superbly produced instructional DVD, "Infield Team Play & Strategies" uses specific situations occurring in ordinary play to demonstrate the correct option that defensive infield players need to be successful on the field. This includes defending the steal, bunt situations, wild throw backups, pickoffs, rundowns, communication techniques, defense by position, and more. Ideal for young players ages 7 to 12, "Infield Team Play & Strategies" is highly recommended to the attention of coaches and involved Little League parents, and is a seminal addition to school and community athletic program reference and resource collections.

This is a solid video with practical situations that are explained and shown on the screen. The visuals show icons then players doing drills or situations and how to defend them. This program works!
The team that practices these concepts are sure to improve. I know we did!

This video addresses infield play for youth baseball players and goes into detail in reference to things such as backups, cutoffs etc. Excellent drills (they work!) specifically for infield play are also included.
A WINNER!

Very clear explanations with video footage and images makes this a remarkable DVD. Coaches like myself need to reinforce back-ups to Little Leaguers and this video captures where players are suppose to be
i.e. cutoffs, relays etc. This is a very valuable resource that coaches will refer to all during the season!

An above average program that tells
a pretty good story of infield play on the
youth level. The young players should view this
themselves. Just pack the DVD in your computer and
show them during your water breaks. It works!

On a typical Little League team, you may have 5 or 6
real quality players. Placing them in positions or "hiding"
some of them are a challenge. INFIELD TEAM PLAY & STRATEGIES
helps the viewer recognize where most of the balls are hit to
in most youth baseball games. The "Backing Up" techniques work well.
The content has value but whether your whole team will absorb it all
is another story. Still recommended for youth baseball coaches.

Most of the action in youth baseball happens in the infield.
INFIELD TEAM PLAY & STRATEGIES works!

An above average baseball DVD that might warrant four stars but I think
three and a half are good enough. The situations that are shown really
present game like issues. But as much as you run through this stuff in practice,
the games present an entirely different forum for the kids. With that said,
I can still recommend this as worthwhile for coaches involved in youth level play.

This program strives to give the viewer
various infield situations with solutions.
Interestingly done! Helpful for minor and major teams in Little League!
