It's no secret that there are a lot of baseball simulation games for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). They may not all appear that unique. Baseball Simulator 1.000, however, is definitely a unique experience. You have the choice to play as a normal baseball team with normal skills, or you can play as a baseball team with secret abilities that completely change the game! One of the abilities is to cause an earthquake when the ball hits the ground! Another is to turn the ball into a cannonball mid-pitch! While these skills may sound cheesy, they can turn the game to your favor. You can only carry out these stunts a limited number of times, so you need to chose wisely when to use them! You can choose between an exhibition match and Season Mode, and you can go head-to-head against a friend, so you definitely won't get bored of this game any time soon!

Baseball Simulator 1.000 was, and remains, light years ahead of its time. Great game action, nice choice of different stadiums, and the ability to play seasons and customize your teams. Anyone who remembers playing this game should have nothing but fond memories. Mine was loved to death, no amount of blowing would bring it back...
