Through cards like The Rookie, The Manager, The Pitcher, The All-Star, The Goat, and The Umpire, BASEBALL TAROT answers questions with unexpected insight and humor. Each set includes a custom-designed, full-color, 78-card Tarot deck, plus a 324-page illustrated book on how to lay out and interpret the cards.

Great information is included for beginners such as myself, such as suggestions for different card layouts and the correlation of each card to traditional Tarot.

At least a working knowledge of baseball is probably required, but for anyone who is interested in baseball and tarot this deck is highly recommended!!

Baseball Tarot is totally the coolest! Laura Philips and Mark Lerner have a deep understanding of both baseball and tarot. As a baseball enthusiast of 28 years, and as a tarotist of 17 years, I find their achievement truly amazing and powerful! I now use Baseball Tarot as my primary deck, with great results. The book is warm and wise, and the card illustrations are rendered with a feeling for the game and for Life. My friend Joe, a sports-nut who is not (or *wasn't* :-) a woo-woo type at all, bought the deck and was astounded when he started using it--stunningly accurate readings and insights! And I bet he never would have warmed up to the Rider-Waite (Pamela Smith) deck or any of the others. Baseball is a metaphor-rich game that fits very nicely with the esoteric tradition of tarot. Good job Laura and Mark!!
Note: This deck is not to be confused with the older, and to me far less satisfying, "Tarot of Baseball" published by U.S. Games Systems, Inc.

I just purchased this set as a his/her wedding shower gift and everybody just loved them. They were passed around from person to person, the ladies and the gents each finding something of value from them. The art work is beautiful, the book very complete, and the card discriptions are really very insightful. They explain things in an easy to understand, applicable to today way. They were a hit. I have about 4 more people I'm going to buy decks for including myself. I doubt anyone would be dissapointed in this set. Certainly unique for a collector of either Tarot cards, or baseball paraphernalia. Thanks :-)

The interpretations and graphics on these cards make them a real delight to use. I am actually playing tarot. I have used many different decks but this is by far the clearest for me. This is a great way to introduce sports minded men to this wonderful practice.

This novel Kit is a good fair play of an old sports institution that uses a theme song based upon "The Old Timers Waltz" music piece for singing "Take Me Out to the old Ball game!"...etc... The cards have a beautiful air-brushed picture on each card all the way through the deck with their own card titles. But, if there any "dislikers" of this Tarot; that's ok..."cause we can shake it off!" A Beginner or an Initiate who knows the game can learn the Tarot quicker (My ex-wife did and enjoyed it immensely learning the Tarot). However, one has to know the standard card titles. The "Fair Play" meanings are a departure from the Rider-Waite-Smith Industry standard. Sports Fans out there should have Tarots done for other major sports such as NFL/AFL;NBA;NHL; and so on- Let's get creative at The Old Ball Game, shall we!??...Blessings...

I'm not kidding. Take this deck with you to the next home game. Sit there between innings and enjoy the cards and all the wonder that is baseball. I'm a total baseball addict. There is no doubt that, as they say in the introduction, the folks that designed this deck did their (baseball) homework. The art is (gush) WOW. The choices and decisions they made on how to relate tarot to The Great American Pasttime show a true love for both The Game and Tarot. Every time I handle these cards (and they've become my favorite deck) I just get gooseflesh. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for making the 7th inning stretch just plain fun!

The Baseball Tarot made the tarot understandable and enjoyable for my boyfriend. It is written in terms that are meaningful to him. We really enjoy our Tarot readings with these cards.

I love these Tarot cards. I just recently learned how to read them, and the authors of the companion book included wonderful insights into each card's meaning. Great information is included for beginners such as myself, such as suggestions for different card layouts and the correlation of each card to traditional Tarot. I found the baseball connection to be much more relatable than the traditional decks and am using this deck exclusively!

Baseball Tarot was better than I expected. Very nice artwork on the cards, and the accompanying booklet was very helpful and thorough.
