Product Description

From the Manufacturer

TiViTz is the most fun kids ever have with math - without even knowing they're sharpening their math skills! Teacher-endorsed, and exciting for kids ages 8 and up, TiViTz is as easy to play as Checkers, but as challenging to master as Chess. Kids (and even grownups) of all ages can hone their math skills while learning the strategies of how to move on the TiViTz board. The TiViTz game board has designated spaces on the TiViTz grid for the nine red and nine blue cube playing pieces, called "tivits". Opposing players move their "tivits", which are like dice and have different numerical values on each of six sides, across the game board, trying to strategically land on score values on the other side of the playing field. The object is to capture goals that, when combined with the "tivits" values, provide the highest total-point scores. You can choose the math level to apply, from basic addition, through multiplication and division, all the way up to 8th grade level math with fractions, percents, and square roots.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW! My kids love it!, August 14, 2007

I never thought I would be able to get my kids to practice their math skills. They always told me "math is no fun". But once we brought home Tivitz, everything changed. They say that Tivitz is so fun that they want to get better at math so that they can win more games. The more they play, the better their math skills become. My younger kids are doing math beyond their grade level because they want to beat their older siblings. Not only are my kids doing better in math, they're doing better in all their subjects because Tivitz helps improve their critical thinking skills as well. I wish all learning games had such an impact on my children's success in school.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun with Friends and Math!, October 3, 2007

This review is from: Baseball Theme TiViTz "TiVi" Mental Math Strategy Game (Toy)
The day this game came in the mail my son was so excited. He brought it to school to share with his math teacher, who was also thrilled and has been having him teach the other kids how to play. His friends on the bus have been begging to play with him, and one kid came over to play it after school. They had the best time. Imagine, 10 year olds hanging out playing a math game and having a ball! I guess that says the game is awesome! My only complaint would be that the box requires lots of tape to stand up to the wear and tear of being used as often as it is!
