This drum has endured some beatings from 2 kids and it still has not broken. It is an excellent quality drum for the price. Sounds great too.

this works way better than those plastic ones.. it has way better tone and is more tollerable to listen to for me that a dull thud sounding hunk of plastic.

this is closeer to or is a real instrument and i'd rather my kid play with a scaled down version of the real thing vs. a lame imitation.

definately worth a look if you think the same way.

Sturdy, strong, great sound and great fun. If your looking for a percussion instrument, this is great, not too complicated for the young and strong enough for older ages.

using the 2 included mallets.
Takes a beating from me. Shoulder strap included.
Very convenient to play.
Great for hand slapping too.
This is not a good choice for small children.
This is like a real instrument. I am impressed.

This drum is a great size and quality for my 7 year old son. It's well made and has a wonderful sound. It has the sound of a real drum, not a child's toy. My son is very happy with it and I think it'll last a very long time.

Because of the price I was not expecting too much, but to my surprise this is a fantastic little drum. The drum itself is made of wood, the heads on each side are top notch quality. We put this drum down in front of my 2 year old niece and she grabbed the sticks and went to town, smiling from ear to ear. Everyone in the room got a big kick out of watching her have a blast. I would highly recommend this type of gift over your typical cheap plastic toy.
