Book Description

"This is an excellent book to add to your cookbook collection. I brought the Salvador Dali Chicken Shrimp Paella and the Cabo Spicy Chicken Wings from this book to a recent get together, and everyone was asking me for the recipes."
Vanessa James, Amazon customer

117 Basic Chicken Recipes from our Cooking Even Guys Can Do! Series is designed for everyone who needs a basic chicken recipe book, even gals. Seniors, students, married, unmarried, all can all use this book to get started or to add to their repertoire.

You’re home from work, tired and hungry—what will you fix for dinner? You're home alone and you want to have a tasty meal—what will you do? Your kids are over on the weekend, or your grand-kids are over, and they’re hungry—what options do you have?

Tired of takeout? Fast food? Or microwave dinners every night? Want a good, home–cooked meal? You need a good recipe book.

You want a basic recipe book, not one that has grand recipes that are difficult. You want to learn the basics before you book Carnegie Hall for your debut.

This recipe book has 117 chicken recipes that are tasty. Most are quick and easy. Many are quicker than ordering take-out.

Each recipe has a superior format:

  • The fun part: a section about the recipe that is entertaining. Most recipes are related to an old movie or TV show.

  • A section where you can see at a glance the time each recipe will take, the number of servings, and the difficulty.

  • Each ingredient begins with its name listed first, making it easy to use for shopping and to know what you'll need next while making the recipe in your kitchen.

  • Directions are clear and logical, set out line by line like a check list. Each paragraph has one step.

  • Recipes are in American measures plus metric and Celsius.

"One of the best things about this book is that at the beginning of each recipe it gives you the prep time, cooking time, and level of difficulty. This is especially helpful when my boyfriend cooks because he can flip through and find the easier recipes and cook them."

5.0 out of 5 stars A Delicious Serving of Chicken Recipes! September 29, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Eleventy-Seven: 117 Chicken Recipes even Guys can do!, by William Rowe, will get your stomach rumbling. This is not your typical recipe guide or cook book either - it is well laid out, easy to use, and has an abundance of tried and true recipes. From casseroles, divans, chow mein, and of course, chicken soup, Rowe has put together a great treasury of mouth watering recipes.

Each recipe has a difficulty rating as well, which is a great way for beginner cooks (like myself!) to ease their way into the culinary world. Rowe has also added an extra element of creativity to these recipes with fun and interesting anecdotes at the beginning of each new recipe. A lot of thought, detail and passion went into this cookbook. The only difficulty I had with this book is that some of the basic cooking terms could have been better explained, but this should pose no major barrier to steering your way through these recipes. I recommend this book to beginners, pros, and those looking for new and easy ways to inspire your dinner creations. I give this book `five chickens out of five'.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great gift for my husband September 29, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
My husband is a wonderful cook, and our whole family loves chicken, so when I saw Eleventy-Seven: 117 Chicken Recipes Even Guys Can Do!, I thought it would be a perfect gift idea for him. When I purchased it, I thought it was just going to be another boring cookbook. I found out that my assumption was very wrong. I found that there are many things that make this the best cookbook I have ever found.

The first benefit that I found to this e-book is that it is made for the Kindle, which means that you can have your shopping list with you on your Kindle device at the grocery store, so that you do not miss any of the ingredients. The second best thing about Eleventy Seven is that it also has little write-ups about different older celebrities and old movies or television shows, which makes the recipes fun and entertaining. My third favorite thing is that the steps are easy to follow. There is one step only per paragraph. This makes it easy for when I decide to cook. My husband has already made the James Dean Let's Play Chicken Casserole. It was absolutely delicious, and like most of the recipes it was fairly easy to make.

This cookbook is one of my favorites. It almost makes me want to kick my husband out of the kitchen and try cooking one or two of them myself. This is a great investment for men and women that have a love for the art of cooking. It is also a great way to find out some information on some of the legends, like James Dean and Sean Connery. You get to find out what they were like before they hit it big, but I will not say what the book says about them. You have to buy it to find out.
