Feel better,

This is a great thing to have. I've used it right from the beginning. She is a squirmy baby and it helps keep her in one spot and gives me a piece of mind during the night. Also, because the sides are velcro, I can reposition them to make them wider as she grows and put her on her side for daytime naps. Easy to clean as well, goes right into the washing machine.

Good Against SIDS,
By A Customer
This review is from: Rest Assured (Baby Product)
I used this product almost 6 years ago & I'm now on my second child & will use it again to help prevent against SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). It helps the baby stay on his side (which is recommended) not on his back or his chest as it was printed in an earlier review of a simular product. It is also longer than some of the others which will allow your baby to use it for atleast 6 months even if he is long in length. I would recommend this product to parents who are concerned about possibly preventing SIDS from striking their new baby.

Comforting Product from Day One,

This review is from: Rest Assured (Baby Product)
I used this product with my first child, and am registering for it again for my second child. I have read conflicting reviews, so I wanted to share what I learned. To prevent against SIDS, in particular, it was suggested by my pediatrician to place my son on his back or on his side. And the nurses in the hospital always placed my son on his side in the hospital. I think this positioner is great because it allows you to safely place your child on her side without you having to worry about her rolling onto her stomach, therefore raising the chances of SIDS. The velcro allows you to place it firmly against her each time, and the pad adds protection against accidents to the sheets and mattress. I would of course recommend that you check with your own doctor first, but for those parents who like the idea of being able to move their child from back, to side to the other side (definitely a plus against flat head), and also for parents of children who hate to sleep on their back and won't sleep long in that position (like my son), this is a definite must have. Also, should your infant catch a cold, laying on her back is torture (think about how stuffed up you become when you are sick and lay flat on your back!) and she will not sleep well. At least being on her side will allow some drainage (as well as a towel folded and placed under the mattress to elevate her head). I hope this helps some moms and dads!

Peace of Mind,
By Conservative Mom (Oregon) - See all my reviews

We used this initially when our newborn would sleep in our bed at night because the foam wedges kept us from bumping her. It made me feel much more secure, and I could nurse her without waking her up. I also used it to keep her on her side because she would sometimes spit up in her sleep and I didn't want her to choke. The foam wedges have velcro so you can space them at the distance you want, which is a great feature. The enclosed pad breathes easily, but when her diaper leaked the pee went right through it onto our sheets (leaks tend to happen when you put baby on her side). So I took the foam wedges and stuck them onto an absorbent waterproof pad at night, and it works great!

Moves with the baby,
This review is from: Rest Assured (Baby Product)
I bought two sleep positioners, one for my daughter's crib and one for her pack 'n play. This one is okay, but my daughter manages to squirm in it a lot more than she does her "inclined to sleep" positioner. The inclined positioner has foam inside and stays put!

This product is okay. I dont like the material used on the back of it as it is so slippery.I found a nicer one at Target made with a head support of memory foam. My daughter LUVS it and sleeps really well on it. I would recommend looking at the one at target first, although this one does do the job.

One of my favorite items from my registry,
This review is from: Rest Assured (Baby Product)
When I was registering for baby products, someone told me I didn't really need this and that I can roll up blankets to place behind my babies at night. I registered for this anyway and was really happy that I did. It gave me peace of mind at night that my daughters would not roll over on their stomachs when sleeping on their sides. (I also put them on their sides to sleep as this was how they were positioned in the hospital). I even bought two more to keep at my parents' house for overnight visits. It is a relatively inexpensive item and although it might not be a necessity, I would recommend it to any new mom.

Couldn't nap without it!!,

We love this item. As a new parent, you're constantly trudging back and forth into the nursery to check whether your baby's sleeping ok. After a few hundred return trips, we realized that the Rest Assured kept our baby from rolling onto her tummy and kept her reasonably comfortable. The peace of mind is well worth it. P.S. Our pediatrician told us to keep the baby's mattress propped up to prevent colic and the slick bottom of the Rest Assured can occasionally make for a "baby slolem." We had to buy some non-skid matting to put underneath to keep the baby from her nightly ski. Just something to keep it in mind.

I registered for this and got it at my baby shower and am so glad I did. The nurses in the hospital always put my baby on her side to sleep using receiving blankets that were rolled up. When I got home and used the Rest Assured it was wonderful. My baby loves it and it is so easy to use and switch baby from side to side when you are laying her down. It definitely makes me feel more comfortable when laying her down. I don't have to worry about her choking if she spits up.

This worked well for me!,

Being a first time mother you hear all sorts of horror stories about SIDS and everything else bound to make you lose sleep over so I decided to invest in this pad to use in the baby cradle we have next to our bed. It really worked well for us and every night I put my son on his back to sleep with it. He seemed to enjoy the enclosed feeling and the side pads are velcro adjustable so you can position them to fit how you want. He slept with this pad for 3 months and then after that he told us he was ready for his crib because he started to wiggle so much during the night and was feeling confined by the pads. We do not use the pad anymore since he has moved to his crib but for those first 3 months it really worked well for us and I was rest assured he was not going to roll or move around so much and possibly get caught somehow.
