I have read the same exact book, just the 1979 revision. So my review of it spans only the first 5 chapters, but I think that this book is one of the best out on the market for beginner electronics hobbyists, or the serious student. It represents various ways of reading a book such as this one, e.g. the deviation from graphics-only skimming, to text-only study, or even both at a time. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to start in on electronics, or just to find out what's happening when you turn something on! 4 stars! I'm sure the 1995 edition presented on this page will be more than enough for the starter.
