The best grammar series around! I like all the books in the series and have used them in my different levels of ESL classes in several international schools. Good for middle and high school students, as well as adults. Some can be used with younger children as well, although the content is sometimes for older students. Excellent workbooks, too!

This book has helped my wife a lot in understanding the english grammar beside her real life english course. The audio CDs are very practical way to practice both listening and writing. I strongly recommend it for any english learning beginner. No need for any instructor.

Azar books are a must for any ESL teacher. Can be used in the classroom as a textbook or as a guideline to the teacher for lesson plans.

I really like this book a lot. Very good excercises with examples. But biggest disadvantage is that there are no answers. When i do my excercises there are no answers to correct it. Answers are so close that you need to have answers to correct them

My students of English at the beginning level learn a lot with this book. The audio CD integrates the listening skill to grammar. I'm very glad to have it.

Publishing companies tinker with great texts to incorporate the sugestions of reviewers and focus groups. Azar's second edition was, as the title indicates, truly basic. The supplementary material supplied by the co-author of the third edition encumbers Azar's five-star instructional design.

I have taught English as my second profession for some time now and I have been through a many number of English language instruction books. When it comes to teaching grammar, this easy to use book is quite easily the finest I have ever used. Personally I don't understand how ESL or basic English courses and/or programs can ever be of high quality without the use of this textbook.

It's a very good book. For me it's only a refreshing but it doesn't matter. There are good explanations and good exercices about the matter. The Audio CD helps me for the prononciation and understanding.

isnt a good book, cause even the basic is out of this book, ahrd to get it, the exemples are no clear and you get tired of it in few minutes, what the science use to call; lazy brain. but if you want try it dont blame me later , cause i told you so
