Every first aid kit should have one!
We teach wilderness medicine courses and one thing that folks always are worried about is "what if I forget the information that I learned in class?". Well, this book should fix that! Very basic first aid book--Perfunctory
This is a concise first aid book. yet, for me, I didn't think it had too much to do with wilderness first aid. There wasn't anything on evacuation (improvised litter, going for help, moving a victim over difficult terrain, for example). The illustrations were good. There are a number of books on the same subject that are more complete. Price is right.

This is a concise first aid book. yet, for me, I didn't think it had too much to do with wilderness first aid. It's small and compact and is packed full of useful how-to tips and treatment options for most commonly encountered medical and trauma illnesses and injuries encountered in 'wilderness' and remote settings. Also a great addition to your first aid kit if you're a weekend warrior and like to go out into the woods for a day hike on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. You just never know when it'll come in handy!
