This review is from: Basic Fly Tying (Paperback)
This book is an excellent source of "how-to" information for the beginning flytyer. The chapters are set up like lessons in a workbook. You start out learning about the tools you will need and progress through the book, each chapter building on the skills learned in the chapter before it. By the end of the book, you will have learned the basic skills needed to tie almost any fly pattern you encounter. The book has many step-by-step, black & white photographs that clearly illustrate the lesson being taught. The ring-binding allows you to keep the book open to the page you are focusing on. This book will prove an invaluable reference material for the beginner, as well as a source of review for the more experienced flytyer.
