I have seen a lot of tattoo learning or apprentice style books, this one is very direct and to the point - gets it done in a text book style. Easy to read. I run a tattoo school on the East coast - and I require all the students who complete my 6 month intro course to read this. The only way you can really learn to tattoo is from an apprenticeship - we just try to prep them for a fast track into the apprenticeship so they can focus on their artwork and this book really helps us get them on track. About the Author

Charles is a member of the Arizona Tattoo Guild, National Tattoo Association, Arizona Artists Guild, Association of Internet Professionals, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and runs TeachMeToTattoo.com in his spare time. Charles apprenticed in Wiesbaden Germany under Sven Bohmer, and is licensed to tattoo in the State of Hawaii. He holds a degree in Graphic Design, and Information Science.

More About the Author

CR Jordan has been tattooing since June 2000, but (regretfully) not on a consistent basis. In 2001 He joined the Army and was stationed in Germany, where he apprenticed under Sven Bohmer in Wiesbaden for 2 years. He moved to Hawaii and tattooed, but only in between deployments to the Middle East with the Army Reserves. In 2009 he authored "Basic Fundamentals of Modern Tattoo" while on a deployment to Iraq. CR Jordan returned to Phoenix Arizona for a short stint and tattooed at Glendale's Top Rocker Tattoo before heading off to Afghanistan to support the Marine Corp. (2010) He is currently finishing up the book "The Advanced Tattoo Apprentice" and hopes to have it on the shelves before 2011. When he is unable to tattoo, Jordan is writing about tattoo and trying to improve not only his own craft - but that of every new artist in the industry.
