The Best Greek Primer Anywhere!,
By
This review is from: Basic Greek in 30 Minutes a Day (Paperback)
I use this primer to teach beginning Greek to middle school students and also to adults. It is fun to use and proceeds at a good pace for those who are not ardent language acquisition artisans. By the end of the workbook, you will be able to do rudimentary translation of Greek scripture into English (such as the book of I John as it has a more simplified Grrek grammar than say Romans or Hebrews).

A beginners guide to elementary koine Greek.,
By
This review is from: Basic Greek in 30 Minutes a Day (Paperback)
The author's stated aim was to provide beginners with a simple and straightforward introduction to classical Greek, as encountered in the New Testament. He has done this very successfully. The text is divided into a series of short lessons, each designed to take the student no more than about half an hour. The academic level is not high, but is such that on completion of this text, the student should have little trouble with a first year college course on classical Greek.

A fun start with Greek... initially...,

This review is from: Basic Greek in 30 Minutes a Day (Paperback)
This book starts well, and really draws you in with fun images and a very hands-on approach to writing out page after page of word translations. The visuals are nice, and the language is very slowly introduced initially. However, as you get about midway into the book, you get much more deeply into the fundamentals of the language (grammar) and things get a lot more trickier. I knew going into it that Greek can be hard, but this book at least gives you an engaging format and introduction, and has you working with word translations at an early point. Worth checking out.
