A Basic Introduction to Speech Perception is the book to
have if you are a student of Speech Pathology. It makes
all of the things clear that were not when you took Articulation and
Phonetics classes. Although the book is not as simple as
to be read by just anyone, it will provide technical, and I
repeat, technical information about speech perception and
aquisition. If you are a student of communication disorders
buy this book. If you are not a student of communication
disorders, buy this book, and a good dictionary.
