5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Self Study Guide for the Math ILITERATE
This book taught me, a 32 year old electrical contractor, enough math to help my 15 year old son in algebra, and finally understand the science I learned in High School.

3.0 out of 5 stars A good support for primary school (REALLY basic)
I stopped doing mathematics at the age of 14 and thought, from another review of this book, that it might take me a bit further. Instead, it turned out to be at a much more basic level than I needed (about age 8-10 in our school system). This review is from: Basic Mathematics (with CD-ROM and iLrn™ Tutorial) (Paperback)
I stopped doing mathematics at the age of 14 and thought, from another review of this book, that it might take me a bit further. Instead, it turned out to be at a much more basic level than I needed (about age 8-10 in our school system). It looks well set out and presented, but it really is BASIC: if you understand more than a beginner's addition, subtraction, multiplication and division it's not for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT BOOK, July 19, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Basic mathematics (Paperback)
If you are anyone looking to brush up on your math skills I recommend this book. Yes, if you are looking to keep your mind sharp math books are the way to go. There is nothing more to keep you on your toes by exercising your mind with mathematical problems. The older we get the less we use our minds. Some people say good mental exercise will keep you young. So whether you are a teenager, young adult, or are getting up there in years, these books are for you.
