This review is from: The Basic Oxford Picture Dictionary, 2nd Edition: Overhead Transparencies (Ring-bound)
These are hugely useful, especially considering they're in color. They're great for the teacher to use while students look at their own book, but could even be used instead of student texts. However, the price is substantial, so it's probably more cost effective to just get one text (especially used) per table. The binder is significantly thicker than the dictionary because each plastic page has a paper page behind to keep it from sticking to the next plastic page. There are tabs to make it easy to find the pages you want. There are even extra pages, covering a 2-page spread. For instance, the pages in the book for Emergencies/Disasters takes up two pages. There's a transparency that combines both pages in one (shrunk to fit, landscape orientation) as well as a transparency for each of the pages at their full size. A few of the emergency scenes are across the center line of the book, so the 2-page spread allows you to easily see the complete picture (albeit smaller), but it also works to simply overlap the full size transparencies a bit. Highly recommended!
