Not an introduction to plasma physics but an excellent graduate-level textbook on theoretical, statistical physics and kinetic theory inspired methods for dealing with wave phenomena, instabilities and other various properties of such a fascinating state of matter. Contains appendices developing the required notions of kinetic theory as used in the main text, but a prior acquaintance with the subject is probably advisable.
