Written for pharmacists!,
By
This review is from: Basic Skills in Interpreting Laboratory Data, Third Edition (Paperback)
This is a great book on interpreting laboratory data and it is really specifically written for pharmacists. It doesn't give a lot of detail on how laboratory testing is performed and it doesn't give that much detail on the diagnostic utility of the different tests. If you are a pharmacist or pharmacy student who needs to look up tests (what does an elevated reticulocyte count mean?), this book is for you. I bought a previous edition of this book for a clinical chemistry course when I was in pharmacy school and have taught from this edition now that I am a professor at a pharmacy school. I recommend it to all my students. My only complaint is that it takes many years for new editions to come out. In my opinion, the section on testing for infectious disease is already out of date.
