A very good book for beginners,

I used to be teaching assistant for a Pro/E class at Purdue University. The first few semesters Pro/E was offered, we used PTC's Basic Training Guide. Using PTC's resource, appx. 50% of the students were having problems. The following semester, we switched to Lamit's book and the amount of students having problems dropped to appx. 5%. It is a very easy book to follow with good tutorials.

I just purchased the book. And I think this book is well organized. But, this book is based on version 17(I guess) now we are using 20-> 2000 and the environment is a lot different. The author have to revise this book....Really.

I purchased this book while learning PT/Modeler, I now work as an AE for a VAR selling Pro/E... I suggest it to all our customers and anyone interested in learning 3D modeling, it's informative and the examples/lessons are complete and work with you on each step.

I have reviewed this book for use in initiating a brand new CAD course in Pro/E at Las Positas College. I feel that this book is an excellant choice for teaching two or three levels in Pro/E and also will be useful as a reference and practice text in order to keep ones' skills honed in all of the basic Pro/E functions.

This text is well written and well organized. It provides a complete overview of the basic uses of Pro/Engineer, with many helpful hints for getting the most out of this powerful software.I have been a student of the author at De Anza college. As a result of my training, I have recently landed a job as a Pro/E drafter and I still use this book as a reference.

- book based on version 18 (not up front specified. Can be confusing when you are a ground "0" beginner and using 2000i. - No glossery to speek of. Spent 12+ years working 2D Cadkey. Glossery no where near covers the the explaination of terminalogy needed.
