Bredekamp & Copple, the renowned experts on DAP, offer this abbreviated version of their landmark DEVELOPMENTALLY APPROPRIATE PRACTICE IN EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAMS SERVING CHILDREN BIRTH THROUGH EIGHT.

By breaking down their philosophy into about 68 pages, the authors allow teachers to absorb the very core of how to ensure that their classrooms meet the developmental needs of their children, not an approximation.

Wonderful!

This review is from: Basics of Developmentally Appropriate Practice: An Introduction for Teachers of Children 3 to 6 (Paperback)
This book was used as a supplement to one of my classes at the college I attend. The book is excellent, and there's nothing more I can say. It outlines the key aspects of good teaching skills and methods as described by the NAEYC for Developmentally Appropriate Practice. This book could be used as a textbook with additional resources or as a supplement to another good textbook on the same subject. The chapters are easy to read and have nice illustrations. I couldn't recommend this book more.
