Basic of Food Allergy is a classic and an outstanding book in the field.
Dr Breneman is one of the pioneers in the field of food allergies. We were fortunate enough to have him treat my wife and a friend of of ours with amazing results before he retired. The book is very readable and contains everything one needs to know to understanding and checking out you food allergies. The only problem is that the book is very rare and quite expensive. Dr Breneman recomends if you get the book, get the second edition it contains a lot more information.

I suffered from migraine headaches from the time I was 17 until I was 37 (1980). I tried many different doctors and medications. Nothing helped much. My husband developed a severe case of hives in 1980. Again - doctors and medications didn't help. Out of desperation we went to the bookstore. We looked over several books and finally decided to purchase Dr. Breneman's book (Basics of Food Allergy). After about a week on the diet, my husband's hives started to go away and, to my surprise, also my migraine headaches. We wrote to Dr. Breneman to thank him because his book helped us so much. He wrote back to us and was very happy to hear that his book had relieved much suffering. I haven't had a migraine headache since 1980 and my husband' hives never returned.
