This basket is roomy and sturdy and the optional cover fits well, however, when I first placed the basket on my rear rack, I tightened it as much as I (thought I) could. It seemed okay, but when I took my dog out for a test ride, the basket came tumbling off the back! I can't believe my poor dog wasn't more traumatized.

A few shots of WD40 lubricated the fastener enough that I was able to get it much tighter and luckily my dog wasn't too freaked out to get back in the basket (and maybe that first spill was the reason he was so well-behaved when I took him back out).

I wouldn't tell anyone not to get this basket, but I would tell anyone buying it to be extremely careful when putting it on the bike, make sure you've got it on there as tightly as possible and take your dog out for a short test ride before planning on covering any distance.

To be perfectly fair, I am still working slowly to get my dog comfortable on a bike....

It's a decent sized basket and it lips up enough at the back to prevent worry about your little one getting tossed out the side while rounding a corner.

Getting it mounted on the bike will take a little ingenuity, but once you get it on it is fairly easily and quickly removable for dogless activities.

This basket attached easily to my bike rack and is very sturdy. I love taking my two cairn terriers for bike rides in the neighborhood and they love it too!

I couldn't ask for a better rear rack wicker basket for my two pugs. I also bought the wire dome cover amazon.com recommends but it falls a little too short but no biggie. I had a little problem installing the basket at first, couldn't get it to properly fit on the rack, but a few shakes and shimmies I figured it out. It seemed tight and secure but for extra precaution I also threaded a bungee through the holes. I receive stares (perhaps due to its massive size) and compliments.

She's about 20 lbs and fits nicely into it. However, you will need to go to a bike shop to buy a frame to attach it to your bicycle and that is an added expense and the only reason I could not give it 5 stars. But otherwise, it is great and we use it all the time.

This is a great product for taking my two Maltese for a ride. They love to go in this basket, enough room for the two of them, they are 6 and 7 pounds and fit comfortably.

I love my new dog basket. I tried a front handle bar basket, but my dog was too heavy for it-15 pounds.
This basket attaches to a rear luggage carrier above the rear wheel. It works great. My dog loves it. The cover for it, made by the same company is a must have. It stops the dog from jumping out. My dog felt very comfortable in it and enjoyed his ride.

This makes a wonderful carrier basket for farmers' market. I can carry a good deal without worrying about balance as I would with a front basket. It is well made and I expect to use it for years to come.

I use this basket for groceries & shopping, my german shep deffinitly wouldn't fit!

Love the way it looks & feels on my bike, get a lot of compliments, I made a little fabric drawsting liner for it, protects the wicker from being snagged inside.
