An excellent album,

I have to say, I am quite impressed by this CD. The songs are passionate and true; and very catchy/memorable. A lot of bands coming out these days all sound the same, but The Baskervilles definitely stand apart from most. They are original and creative, and have truly assembled a magnificent album. There are several musical styles represented here, all molding into the original sound of the band. Definitely pick up this CD! You'll enjoy it for years to come.

Hearing music like one wonders waht could be better sounding? Not much, damn these guys and gal are real good, tight melodies B&S style muscianship and discreet vocals all make for one very fine listen. This band has maybe what fifteen original songs under their belt, if you include their most recent spectacular 'Midnight' EP. We need more output from these New Yorkers. Heavily influenced by British bands like 60's Kinks, 70's Jam & american indie-pop, can't say enough good things about the Baskervilles get this & their EP, you will enjoy.

It gets better every time I play it!,

It's rare to find a band that can balance great hooks and intriguing arrangements. Production by Mitch Easter helps. Like his best projects, Let's Active and R.E.M., the Baskervilles songs are over brimming with melody and substance. The lyrics remind me of classic Kinks. The album gets better and better every time I listen to it. Highlights - "Day One, Amanda Year" and the spooky "That Is The Scene".
