5.0 out of 5 stars Runs wide, but so perfect!, December 29, 2011

I normally wear 7.5W and I ordered these in 7.5B, and they fit like a dream! The leather is so supple and very high quality. I like my leather smoother and thinner, and that is what this is. The almond toe is very good as well. This shoe is very versatile, and for $22 it is such a steal! I'm not sure how it would fit people with narrower feet, but if you usually wear wider shoes, do not hesitate to buy the normal width!

4.0 out of 5 stars No really, order a 1/2 size down, October 27, 2011

I've never written a review before so please excuse my long-winded...ness. Let me begin with: I was SO excited for these shoes. I work at a coffeeshop where I'm running around for at least 6 hours day after day. Recently, our dress code has gotten more strict and I needed all-black or brown leather shoes. I've been attempting to be more stylish and I chose these hoping they could be multifunctional and be worn with shorts. When I read through the reviews, all the "oh these fit me perfectly" reviews outnumbered the others so remeasured my foot to make sure I haven't undergone any massive foot-growth spurts and I figured, better a little big than a little small, right? Well, I've always worn size 8 and it usually leaves me just the right amount of room for my toes, but when I got these, they moved around a lot on my feet and made it pretty tricky to work, let alone walk, while I was sliding around inside my shoes (even laced as tightly as it could go WITH socks on (also: the super tight lacing pulled at the front of the shoe, creating pairs of wrinkles in the leather which look especially awkward against the simple clean lines of the design)). It was super disappointing. I'm pretty positive a size 7.5 would have been perfect. If the soles were better for gripping slippery floors (they're sorta fuzzy-matte), I would have probably tried to convince myself to keep them and dealt with it one way or another - just because they are so pretty/versatile/seem like they'd be comfortable (and also because I've never had to return anything online and the process seemed intimidating. Turns out that it's really quite simple, or at least with this seller.) Unfortunately, these are going back and I'll probably just lazily color in the white stripes of my good ol' sambas with sharpie.

For those who have never tried on oxfords, don't make my mistake: with normal sneakers that don't perfectly fit, you can usually tighten them and the part towards the ankle keeps it secure to your foot, however this style only goes 3/4 the way up your foot AND the inside lining is smooth and slippery with socks so buying the right fit is crucial.

Basically, don't listen to the other reviews, save yourself the hassel and order down half a size.
