This review is from: Bass Fishing in California: Secrets of the Western Pros (Paperback)
While I do tend to agree that the information on the lakes is outdated, that should not deter anyone interested in bass fishing. Simply put, this book goes through ways to present nearly every possible lure used in bass fishing, and it does so in a way that you can understand. For those jumping in for the first time, the lingo may be a bit difficult to understand, but the more you read the book the more things make sense.
Also, despite being outdated, the information on the lakes actually proves quite helpful. If you can find a lake or two in the book that are close in size and general attributes, you can use the tips as a starting point for whatever your favorite local lake is. I found three separate lakes that were similar to my local lake, and I used the tips as a guideline to get me started. I haven't caught any bass that were legal to keep, but it's a start! In short, buy this book if you plan to fish for bass.

This book is a bit dated, and the reviews of lakes and reservoirs is a bit old and dated also. Good book though to add to the collection of fishing books.
