4.0 out of 5 stars This is a great dresser if.......
Was hesitant to order furniture online, but this is a pleasant surprise. Delivered in 2 days; not a scratch on it. It is all solid wood, and well made. The wood color has a reddish tint. Putting it together was a little tricky as the many parts were not individually marked with numbers/letters; therefore, it was easy to pick up a wrong part during assembly......but...

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
BassetBaby used to have a reputation for well-made wooden furniture, but it's just the same old assemble-it-yourself, made-in-Asia stuff. This line is described as "Appalachian Oak finish" but it doesn't even remotely resemble oak. When the box arrived, it looked pretty beat up. Despite copious styrofoam packaging, there were some scratches and minor damage to some of...

Was hesitant to order furniture online, but this is a pleasant surprise. Delivered in 2 days; not a scratch on it. It is all solid wood, and well made. The wood color has a reddish tint. Putting it together was a little tricky as the many parts were not individually marked with numbers/letters; therefore, it was easy to pick up a wrong part during assembly......but all well worth the final result. We are using the dresser next to the bed in a master bdrm, in place of a nightstand. Plan to get a second dresser for the other side of the bed. Just finished putting the second dresser together; the drawers do not line up with the front, but stick out a bit on the right side. Assembled this dresser exactly like the first one. We think the metal drawer guides are off on the one side panel of the dresser. Even changed the drawers around, but to no avail. This is not a terrible problem for us as this dresser is located where you only look at it from the front, so the gap is not too obvious. We do wish the second dresser assembled as perfectly as the first.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice Dresser - Shipping Issues, February 5, 2010

This review is from: Bassettbaby River Ridge 3 Drawer Dresser - Oak (Baby Product)
This is a very nice dresser, however I had many issues with the shipping. In the box of the first dresser that was shipped to me, the packet with the screws opened during shipping. So, this left scratches all over the top of the dresser and on the side. I contacted the manufacturere of the dresser, as well as Amazon. Amazon sent me a WHOLE new 100 lb box containing the whole dresser and I swapped out scratched pieces. However, the new dresser top they shipped was also scratched! Luckily, the manufacturer was also sending me a new top. So, when that top arrived from the manufacturer, everything was great. Overall, this is a nice dresser and nice piece of furniture, especially for the price. It just took a while to get the parts correct. It was also easy to assemble. I did it all myself.
