This is a very thorough review of the making of bassoon reeds from start to finish. Through each step they describe the process and tools with many b/w illustrations and including several acceptable variations. Although the delivery is slightly dry (academic), a beginner can use this book to make reeds. As a professional Bassoon teacher, I use this book often to help my students understand the reed making process and how to care for their reeds. Also includes helpful info. for playing and maintaining your bassoon.
