4.0 out of 5 stars Great cinematic videos and concert footage, February 7, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Bat Out of Hell 2: Picture Show [VHS] (VHS Tape)
"Picture Show" gives the Meat Loaf fan a great collection of story music videos, the best being "I'd Do Anything For Love". There are also some great live pieces as well that were filmed for a VH1 concert special included in this video. The only thing missing really is more behind the scenes footage on the videos/concerts and the album itself. There is some commentary from Jim Steinman and the video director (his name escapes me but he is the same one who directed "The Rock") but not enough. The behind-the-scenes seems a little choppy to be giving a "real" look at the making of these great songs and videos. The video, however, is well worth the money, especially for Meat Loaf and/or Jim Steinman fans.
