5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent looking, feeling and functioning.
Fantastic design. Great functional concept - nonstick safe. Won't rust. Dishwasher safe. Best of all, it actually works. Worth the dollars as I finally don't use my chef knives for cutting pizza. A gourmet pizza cutter for my gourmet pizzas.

2.0 out of 5 stars Great idea that follows bad ones.
This pizza wheel has a nice, heavy handle and a large blade. Take away one dubious "feature" and add another and it would be close to perfect.

The fact of the matter is that pizza and nonstick should not be in the same sentence. Good pizza, at least, is cooked at very high temperatures, which isn't a good thing for nonstick pans, anyway. Run the plastic...

Run the plastic blade over the edge of your pan or even the "Mario Batali" folding pizza peel (a very good product from this line) and voila, you have a nick that can not be repaired. Even tossing this in a drawer with metal utensils will quickly damage the cutting edge.

A simple screw would have made this pizza cutter much easier to clean, as well. As it is, the blade is non-removable and you might find yourself spending lots of time trying to clean out cheese, grease, or other unsavory bits.

If you really insisted on being able to cut your pizza on your nonstick pans, this would be the cutter to get, but be ready to buy a new one quickly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for nonstick pans, May 26, 2007

I ordered this polycarbonate wheel after getting sick of transfering my homemade pizzas from the nonstick pan to a cutting board before slicing. It works very well. Sharp enough to cut through the pizza without too much pressure. I am very satisfied with this pizza wheel! My only complaint is that I wished it came in some more color options - orange doesn't exactly match my kitchen, but it works so well it makes up for it.

This is the only pizza wheel I've used that won't scratch pans. I've had this for well over a year - and have used it MANY times - and it is still in perfect condition. Its handle is quite heavy, which makes cutting pizza very easy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice color and good product, October 9, 2007

I was hesitant about whether this pizza cutter would actually cut. It does cut, however, you have to press down quite hard to get the slices to cut well. It didn't scratch the pizza pan I have though and that was all that mattered. So, good product. Shipping was very slow though from seller. I don't know why. Other than that, this was another good purchase.

I'm use to the traditional metal cutting wheel cutter, however this item does work well. It's easier to clean the metal style, however this one cleans easy too.

This one looks funny, seems like a material that should not cut through anything- let alone a pizza...but... that is so wrong! It is great. It cuts cleanly (unlike the smaller wheels I have had). Very easy to clean. I bit larger to store, though. It is great!

This cutter is good and heavy, cuts cleanly without dragging, and washes easily in the dishwasher.

3.0 out of 5 stars Will start looking for a different one soon, September 26, 2010

I purchased this pizza cutter almost two years ago now and was initially happy with the product. 2 years of light use later and my fondness has worn off.

Pros:
-Solid weight and feel
-Relatively easy to clean
-Cut well initially

Cons:
-The polycarbonate wheel loses its edge and flakes off
-The chrome is starting to chip off
-Can still hurt non-stick surfaces

While I was originally smitten with the design and ability to use on non-stick surfaces, I was expecting the quality of the product to be a little better and last a bit longer. I will go back to a metal wheel next time.

Great tool for cutting pizza and bar cookies. Not sure what the other reviewer was talking about with regard to non-stick pans. I use it for cutting brownies and other bar cookies, as well as for pizza. I bought it specifically to use with non-stick pans, and it does the job with no problem. Surprisingly sharp since it's not metal.
