4.0 out of 5 stars Good feel and appearance, bad Start/Home/Select layout. October 12, 2011
Platform for Display:PlayStation 3|Edition:Wireless
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
The controller is great in almost every way. I like the offset/reverse thumbstick layout.

Pros:
Great look and appearance, I got this controller pretty much just for the fact that it's Batman related and made by Power A.
The buttons are responsive and I prefer the stiffer L2/R2 triggers.
The controller is wireless with no noticable lag or dead zones playing Batman AA, and has a built in rechargable battery.
The D Pad is also responsive and I had no issues selecting items in the diagonal directions.
It lights up, has some rubber on the grips, and includes an On/Off switch with a power save function.

Cons:
My only issue with this controller is the placement of the LED Color selection button and Battery Power Indicator button being located inline with the Start and Select buttons. If you use this controller to play any other games, that use those buttons some what often, you will find yourself switching the LED Colors randomly when you try to pause the game, or you will be constantly checking the battery power level (no biggie there), unless you look down at the controller to find the buttons.

3.0 out of 5 stars Dualshock 3 vs Batarang. October 10, 2011
By Aaron V
Platform for Display:PlayStation 3|Edition:Wireless
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
Pros
This controller feels similar to xbox 360 controller for anyone who like's that layout.
The batarang controller has 7 LED colors you can choose from.
The controller feels Great and very natural too grip on and the Buttons are accurate.

Cons
But Using The batarang controller on Arkham City, MW2, Uncharted 2, I felt some delay on the right analog stick when I was playing.
So I switch back with the Dualshock 3 to compare it was way better and accurate.
And with the batarang controller you can't turn ON the console with the controller but you can turn OFF the system.

So Overall it's 3/5 stars for me
It's worth a try if your looking for a 360 controller for an alternative.
but I would say just stick with the Dualshock 3 if you want your controller accurate.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not reliable September 3, 2013
Platform for Display:PlayStation 3| Edition:Wireless|Verified Purchase
I got the controller and charged it fully before trying to play with it. It wont work unless I have it plugged in at all times. It says fully charged but as soon as I unplug it, it shuts down. I recommend it as a collector's item, not as a useful controller.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good, but not perfect. November 7, 2011
Platform for Display:PlayStation 3| Edition:Wireless|Verified Purchase
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
I've been playing with this controller for a few days now, and I have to say I like it very much. It feels good in the hands even with playing for long periods of time. It has a very solid feel, and I like the sculpt of the grips. The triggers (L2 & R2) are also very good, certainly much better than those on the standard PS3 controller. All of the shoulder buttons, as well as the D-pad, have a texture to them that's a little more noticeable than the texture on Sony's controllers, which I also like. The D-pad is serviceable and is better than the standard XBox360's D-pad, but not as good as the standard PS3. The lights on the controller certainly look cool, but I play with them turned off because I find it annoying to have a colored light shining in the periphery of my vision.

The main problem with the controller comes from the analog sticks. They do have a dead zone. Reading the other reviews, I was expecting a much larger dead zone than the controller has. Personally, I wasn't bothered too much with this issue. I think that the quality of your experience with this controller will largely depend on the types of games you play. For most strategy, role-playing, and general action games, this controller will work great. However, if you play many games that require great precision and very small adjustments of the analog sticks, such as driving games and first-person shooters, you might want to pass on this controller. I definitely would NOT suggest buying this controller for use in any kind of competitive play. For general gaming, though, it's great.

2.0 out of 5 stars Didn't work. September 27, 2013
By Oscar
Platform for Display:PlayStation 3| Edition:Wireless|Verified Purchase
I purchased this controller to compliment my wife's 360 version but it didn't work unless I kept it plugged in. It wouldn't even turn on unless I kept it "charging". Sent it back and got a prompt refund. Not a 1-star due to quick refund.

2.0 out of 5 stars Dead zone issues still apply. October 16, 2011
Platform for Display:PlayStation 3|Edition:Wireless
Fun: 2.0 out of 5 stars
I did not buy this from Amazon though I wish I had (their return policy is far more lenient than where I did purchase it.)

2 stars for getting some things right:

- The wireless works well, no noticeable lag from input to action on your TV.
- Buttons are all accurate, easy to press, though the extra buttons for the light and power status are conspicuous and might get in your way when you are trying to press select or start.
- Cool design, and comfortable in my hands.

Minus 3 stars for continuing the 3rd party controller curse of questionable quality:

- Analog stick DEAD ZONES ARE HORRIBLE, Sure you may not notice it if you... well... I don't know how you wouldn't notice it. Tested the controller with Uncharted and Dead Souls and in both instances the right stick simply would not operate as intended. Small movements in the camera are incredibly hard to make and usually end up with you overshooting your target or not moving it at all. It's horribly distracting and after a couple hours of trying to "train" myself to use it, I decided it just wasn't happening and just went back to my Dual Shock 3 *which felt fantastic afterwards.

Sure, Batman is cool and all but that made zero difference with me in purchasing this controller. My search is for a good 360 style controller for PS3 but sadly there has been none worth my time to this point. I had hope for this controller because of some other reviews saying they didn't notice the dead zone. Oh well, at this point it's a shame on me scenario because this is my second Power A controller with the same dead zone issue.

2.0 out of 5 stars It's not wireless
The product description states that it is wireless; when the charging cable is removed the device turns off. I had to purchase a 10' cable so that my son could use this controller.

2.0 out of 5 stars Bleh.
It could have been a good controller, but the battery died quickly making it into a wired controller without the convenient length of proper wired controllers.
