From School Library Journal
PreSchool-Grade 2. On his first independent flight, Batbaby is blown into Squirrel's treetop nest by a storm. Squirrel does his best to care for his unexpected guest, although Batbaby's nocturnal habits conflict with Squirrel's desire to sleep. Eventually the young bat goes to sleep and in the morning he finds his way back to his parents?who then have to get him back on a nocturnal schedule. Each full-page, full-color illustration is opposite a page of text in this charming, miniature picture book. Both parents and children will identify with Squirrel's difficulty in getting the wakeful Batbaby to settle down. Information on the habits of bats is well integrated into the story. A delight.?Lisa Smith, Lindenhurst Memorial Library, NY

From the Inside Flap
On his first solo flight, Batbaby gets caught in a rainstorm, is blown into Squirrel's tree, and gets into all sorts of trouble before he finally falls asleep. In the morning Batbaby returns home where he must go to bed
again! With a sweet surprise ending, this is a story that kids will enjoy for both its humor and the energetic artwork that is a new direction for this veteran author/illustrator.
