They got here nice and fast.
They are sized right on.
I work on ship and safety toes are compulsory. I was at first concerned about the non-steel nature of the safety toe but after doing research discovered they hold up to the same ASTM standards and in fact would perform BETTER in a crushing accident as the composite would fail and fragment instead of deforming and severing in the way a steel toe would. These boots are light and comfortable to wear 8+ hours a day.
The goretex is nice as your feet stay comfortable and dry. The only issue I have is with the waterproofing, after 3 about a year and a half of use the boots developed small tears in the outer lining which allows water to seep in when submerged. I will definitely buy another pair when these are worn out.
So a few months more into these and they are still great. Withstood a week straight of -40 degrees with 50 MPH winds in horrible mud and oil spills. One thing is that your toes WILL get very cold after about 6 hours straight of being in the cold. Easy solution is wear 2 pairs of sucks, one very thick winter set and you will be fine. Even those foot warmer packs will help dramatically. These are the best boots I've had and its unreal how great of a price they are.
For construction the leather holds up against minor tearing, fraying, and chaffing; kick all you want. The steel toe absorbs shock well.
For hunting, fishing, and trapping these boots are incredible. My feet never sweat in the Summer or while running or hiking and have kept my feet warm in a tree stand at approx. 20 degrees F. I've even had my feet in water up to the second(from the bottom) lace with no water penetration.
I've really been hard on these boots and after 13 months the only problem I've had is with the sole starting to wear out and fray at the bottom edges; however, given all that I've put this pair through I'm truly surprised it took this long...I normally can only get a high-dollar pair of boots to last about 3-6 months. You'll get your moneys worth out of these guys!

I like the identical GX8 non safety toe boots and have owned several pairs of them. I love them because they have a comfort level more like a sneaker than a boot. Read morePublished 1 month ago by Pro-gun
