I have been a fan of the Uncle John series since the very first Bathroom Reader came on the scene. The series is perfect fodder for trivia-craving minds like mine! I have especially enjoyed their "Plunges Into" books - Great Lives, History, etc.

Like the previous "Plunges" volumes, the "Hollywood" book is a hoot. You can dip into the book at any page and come up with fascinating material on actors & actresses, awards, directors, studios, scandals, good movies/bad movies, special effects, bloopers and much, much more. Almost 500 pages of pure delight!

Trivia buffs and movie afficiandos will love this. I know I did. At $17.95, how can you go wrong?!

I really love these books. They are interesting and a really quick read. (I never read them in the bathroom, though!). I have all the other Bathroom Readers and I look forward to every new one they create. Keep the great books coming!

This was a gift from a media friend of ours. She knows I stay in the car and read when my wife shops. So this is more a car book than a bathroom book. It is fun and there are so many sections in so many categories and covers most of the great stars. The only complaint I would make is that there are some great ones only given a sentence or not mentioned at all. A sequel to this book is needed. We need more on Susan Hayward than a line. And we do need material on other favorites like Rhonda Fleming, Deanna Lund and Joyce Meadows. Very much appreciated was information on the old great horror films, science fiction, Westerns and action/adventure.

I love these books..... keep them coming. For the people that love useless knowledge and short form styles of reading these books rock!!!

I bought this as a Christmas present for my husband. I was so pleased to receive it before Christmas. This was a book that my husband really wanted. I whole-heartedly recommend this seller to you.

No matter what the subject, Uncle John's BR books are just so informative and they're easy reading. If you like trivia, you'll love this book.

I bought this for my budding film-maker son who is obsessed with Hollywood Trivia but also ended up reading the entire thing myself. Endlessly fascinating details about movies, stars, bloopers, box office and production, you'll love each and everyone. It even includes the big "Pink Floyd/Wizard of Oz" connection legend. The story behind the movies are the best, and you'll learn a bunch of things you never knew you needed to know. Great gift for the film buff of any age!

i'm a huge movie buff, so this was a fun book to read for random trivia. There was as some, like the movie mistakes, that i had already read in past bathroom readers and were just repeats, so that was kind of disappointing.

The Uncle John books always have so many funny, interesting stories that it is hard not to like reading them.

The many stories in this issue cover many things associated with Hollywood.
From the many scandals (Fatty Arbuckle, The making of Cleopatra) to the Oscars, to celebrates who died to soon to interesting Hollywood stories (Clark Gable going to court in the mid 1930's because an Englishwoman though he was the father of her daughter even though he did not get a passport till 1930) If you are interested in Hollywood this book is for you.
