Funnier than you think!!,

I am a huge Jimmy Fallon fan. So when I saw this one in the shops I bought it (I guess it's one of those things where you feel you have to prove to yourself you're a real fan)I was expecting a couple of his songs and then that was it. But actually, his songs are great to listen to. There are about 5 songs. After that, Jimmy does improv acting and impressions to a live college croud. It is hillarious. Even if you are not a Jimmy fan, it is worth getting. He closes the CD with "Hammer time" where Jimmy has found you can sing pretty much any 80's song to "Hammertime" and goes right ahead to show it. So funny!!!

Being an Aussie, I'm a bit late to Fallon-fandom, but boy am I hooked now! Like Tenacious D, Jimmy's brand of musical comedy is made to last. Long after the jokes have worn out I'm still listening to Snowball and Road Rage, coz they sound great. (I have to admit, Idiot Boyfriend isn't the same without that hilarious video.) Of course the other highlights of TBW are Jimmy's brilliant impressions amongst the Trolls, Hammertime and Chris Rock. His standup routine is now a thing of the past, so it's nice for fans to have some examples of his early work as his career forges ahead. If you're fan of Fallon's many talents, or fan of musical comedy in general, this CD is definately for you. Funny stuff! :-)

... This CD definitely does not get old fast. I've listened to it like 100 times and I still love it. But I do think it is a CD for people who are already fans of Jimmy's work. If you don't know who Jimmy is, don't buy this album. But if you know him and love him, like I do, this is definitely for you. The lyrics in the songs are hilarious, especially in Road Rage. And to disagree with the Amazon review, I say that (I Can't Play) Basketball is a great song. ...Jimmy's not trying to win a Grammy. He's just trying to put something out for his fans to enjoy. And all of his fans thoroughly love this album. The Stand-Up in this album is from college tours that he was doing, so it all revolves around college life. He jokes about everything from bad roomates, to french bread loofahs, to the freezers in mini-friges, and fake I.D.s. I love every stand-up track. He had me laughing in every one. And of course, not only is the CD funny, but the little CD booklet is too. Jimmy writes a comedic message to his fans, which I love to read over and over, and has little jokes added randomly, like before or after the lyrics, or on the thanks page. Its a great addition to a great CD. So Jimmy fans: Buy this album today. You'll love it.

There are 7 songs on this CD and they are all (except one) great. Listen to them whenever you need a happiness boost or when you're really hyper. Every one of the seven songs are easy to sing along too. The other half of the CD is Jimmy's stand-up acts. I didn't find them too funny. You certainly can't listen to those more than a few times. Even though I think only half of the CD is good, the kick you get from that good half makes it all worthwhile.

SNL's Jimmy Fallon is hilarous!,

I have been a devoted fan of SNL for quite sometime now, and a huge fan of Jimmy Fallon. His new CD, "The Bathroom Wall", is not one to miss if you are a SNL fan, or just like to laugh. The first part of the albulm includes five songs. "Idiot Boyfriend" and "(I Can't Play) Basketball" standout to me as the funniest ones. "Drinking in the Wood", "Road Rage", and "Snowball" aren't quite as witty as the others but are still fun to listen to. The second part of the albulm is standup. I thought that the "Celebrity Troll Dolls" and "Troll Doll Jingles" were by far the funniest, with Jimmy's dead on impressions on celebrities such John Travolta, U2, Dave Matthews Band, Coldplay, Alanis Morsitte... During "Celebrity Troll Dolls" Jimmy does impressions of several comedians such as Jerry Seinfield, Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Robin Williams... I found that Jimmy was brilliant during these because he manages to tell jokes like the comedians would, and do the humor they would do, rather than just doing the voice impression. I had an actual 5 minute arguement with my friends convincing that Jimmy Fallon was actually doing the celebrity impressions, and were not the celebrities on the CD themselves. Imagine how frustrating that is. Why a comedian would put out a CD where he had actual celebrities talking on it is beyond me. Anyways..."Hammartime" definetly stands out as also one of the funnier ones. Jimmy sings several different 80s tunes to the background of "Can't Touch This." The stand-up also includes many jokes about college, which were funny, but I probably would have gotten it better if I have been to college. My parents cracked up hilarously in the car listening to this, almost to an annoying extent, while driving my 18-year-old sister to college. I definetly reccomend this CD to anyone who wants to laugh. This CD is definetly fun to listen to, but because its so short (37 minutes) I find I can only listen to it every couple days. (Which isn't a bad thing necessarily, its just any CD with standup on it just isn't funny listening to repeatively.) I find this CD is better to listen to with someone else who hasn't heard it before, because it is fun watching your friends and relatives getting to laugh their first time to it. Definetly consider putting Jimmy Fallon's "The Bathroom Wall" in your CD collection.

Not "Wild and Crazy Guy", but then again what is?,
This review is from: Bathroom Wall (Audio CD)
Fallon is the new comedy superstar-to-be of today's SNL cast, and he shows off his talent here... especially his musical impressions, which (if you've seen his SNL work) are as spot-on as Weird Al at his best. However, as others have noted already, this first effort doesn't rank up there with the best from Pryor, Martin and Carlin... heck, not even close. The problem is that Jimmy is almost TOO hip... his delivery and choice of material is spot-on for a single performance in front of a raucous college crowd, but there's not enough humor here to sustain listening over and over. (Think of McDonald's and their "1/4 pound before cooking" -- then imagine cooking that poor burger three or four times over.) I think Jimmy is a real winner... and, come to think of it, Adam Sandler's first album wasn't his best, either. There's always tomorrow for dreams to come true... I predict we'll see much better from the big JF in the future.

jimmy fallon is way funny and i think this cd is really cool, people who think that he doesnt have any talent are just jealous of him. i believe he is the next adam sandler, people that dont like him just dont because he doesnt cuss like adam sandler does. people dont need cusswords to be hilarious. believe me, this cd is one of my favorites. i can not stop laughing to all of it. i recommend this cd if you feel low on yourself and just need a laugh out of something. i grew up loving snl, and jimmy will someday be big in the movies and this is his start.

I'd seen Jimmy's standup on late night shows and live about 6 months before the release of the CD. The content is pretty much all the same (my biggest complaint) but it still brings a smile to my face each time. If you only know him from SNL, or (egad!) Mtv, it's worth checking out this album for Jimmy's hilarious impersonations of Chris Rock, Adam Sandler, and even Alanis Morrisette. The first few tracks are the songs, which I think are the best, and I hope he writes more of these! The rest is his stand up, including his famous Troll Doll routines and 80s medley. Not as great as I had hoped, but it still makes me laugh, which is more than I can say of alot of other comedians these days.

I've loved Jimmy Fallon since I first saw him on SNL and now he's come out with a cd with goofy songs and him doing stand up comedy about college life and Troll Dolls. I say that I LOVE this cd; it make me smile and laugh everytime I hear it. I love Road Rage, SnowBall, (I can't play) basketball, and Hammertime. I LOVE YA JIMMY
