29 quilt projects offer both step-by-step techniques and a rainbow of colors and ideas for working with batik patterns. From learning the basics of batiks and how to work with them to tips on fabrics and tools, this is an excellent project guide for any quilter wishing to expand to batik projects.

The patterns are awesome. This book is not for a beginner. How to work with and understanding the colors of Batik are great instructions. I can't wait to put together one of the quilts.

It is probably a wonderful book for people who are unfamiliar with batik fabrics. And I love the cover! However, the rest of the book wasn't what I envisioned...nor does it meet my needs for the quilt I would like to make. I was disappointed that there was so much information describing batiks fabrics and techniques rather than a larger variety of types of quilts. The fabrics were lovely, but the patterns all seemed to look really busy, too dark and too much alike.

The photos in this book are mostly darker batiks, without a lot of contrast. I tend to purchase quilt books and magazines based on their pictures. The patterns are easy to follow and not excessively challenging, so good
for a beginner.

I had checked this book out of the library but found that I had marked half the pages to copy and save in my stash -- I decided I needed to buy it instead.

The book past all my expectations and I was pleased that I received it in great condition and in a short period of time. It will be a book that I will use frequently because I am now into doing projects using Batiks. Sewing projects are not completed overnight and it will be this next weekend before I get a chance to follow one of the patterns. Grace Norris

Batik's fabric are my favorite and I can't deside which of the 29 I want to quilt first. The patterns are easy to follow and the book is set up with great pictures and discriptions.

I have over 60 quilting books and this is good but I wouldn't purchase it again. There are better ideas/patterns out there!
