I purchased both of these games for about 3 times the price a few months back. 10 dollars is a steal, this is easily the best super hero action game to date, not to mention the most fluid fighting system I've used. Also, its got some great freeroam elements to it as well(Arkham City especially). I can't tell if Arkham City includes all of the DLC, but it really doesn't matter. Harley Quinn's revenge was a bit of a let down, and there are more than enough challenge maps without adding to the list.

Also, pick up a gamepad for these games, one of the rare instances I prefer gamepad over keyboard and mouse.

This is a great game series with good action and graphics. It works well with keyboard and mouse combination and compatible with PC. The only problem is one of these games require a DRM system called GFWL which is more trouble than its worth.

Thank you Amazon! 2 great classic games for $9.99, only at Amazon. I was able to activate it through Steam with no problems. I've already put 10 hours into Batman AA, and I'm really enjoying it. Go buy it now! I'm going to pick up the FEAR bundle next!

I cannot say enough about how awesome these games are. I purchased Arkham Asylum a couple years ago for ~$20-30, and it was money well spent. I had heard good things, and everything that was said is true. It's the best superhero game hands-down, and it makes you really feel like Batman. Arkham City took the same mechanics and tweaked them just the right amount, then let you loose in a brand-new, larger setting. More tools, more moves, more enemies - more of everything, really.

The only downside to this pack is the fact that the version of Arkham City isn't the Game of the Year edition, which includes all the DLC (Catwoman, Nightwing, Robin, alternate Batman costumes, and Harley Quinn's Revenge). Catwoman should be packaged with the game (that's great - it's the best DLC of the bunch), but Harley's Revenge offers a good coda to the main story, so it's a shame you'll have to pay another $10 for it. Still, $20 total for these two games is still an EXCELLENT deal.

Highly recommended games, at an amazing price.

Normally I don't play superhero video games. The last one I've played was Spiderman on N64. Yes I am old. I've played through AA already and I only had 2 spots where I had an issue. After the first time you fight Scarecrow I tried leaving the room and it crashed. Tried waiting till the cut scene completly ended (Batman is talking to Batgirl at this time) and It still crashed. I fired it up in windowed mode and was able to leave the room and continue on.

The next spot was also after a scarecrow fight. MY rig slowed to about 5 fps after the second or third Scarecrow fight. It didn't crash however.

    Rig specs.

    i53570k
    evga gtx670ftw
    8gb corsair ram

If it brings this system to a crawl then you might expect much worse if you're running older/less powerful hardware.

Other than those 2 issues the game is excellent. It's about 50/50 detective work/figuring out mazed and beating up bad guys.

Probably one of the best games I've ever played. Can't finish AC.

I got it with a promotion from Amazon and it's wonderful value. Used the access code and downloaded the game through steam no problem. I started with Batman Arkham Asylum and the game is fun, catching, and smooth.

However, when I tried to switch to another computer and continue my progress it gave me huge trouble. Steam doesn't have the game save in cloud, and Windows live basically tries to BLOCK everyone from using the game in a different computer, not even if it's the same code and same live account. I had to do my google research for 20min and copied several folders to finally port my progress. Not to mention that I'll have to do this again and again if I'd like to switch back and forth.

Anything related to Microsoft softwares seem to have a lot of restriction and bugs, including Windows Live Account in my opinion, be careful if you have multiple computers, or if you'd like to reinstall your computer/game and keep your progress with any Windows Live game.

The Batman Arkham Action Pack has two games that defied my expectations with regards to license based games. This may be due to some of the other awful past games such as Superman 64 and the Aquaman game for gamecube, but when I played these games you can actually believe that you are playing as the Dark Knight (in Arkham City you can also play as Catwoman, I haven't played too much of that yet though) and is a very well realized release.

So why only four out of five stars? Well, the biggest issue I had was the use of DRM in this case. The use of Games for Windows is completely unnecessary when this can be redeemed with Steam. What makes this worse is SecuROM which actually corrupted my Arkham City install and I had to reinstall as a result. (It doesn't like multiple OS computers apparently so I may have to look at bypassing SecuROM on grounds of operability issues.) This was completely unnecessary and only serves to punish paying customers.

I bought both of these when they were on sale for about $10. Well worth it considering how awesome both these games are.I had already played Arkham Asylum on the 360 before so picking it up for the PC is just a bonus for me.Arkham City I hadn't played before so the $10 price I bought both of these for during the sale is a steal. Amazon makes you download something for both these games but the main game download I had to do over STEAM after entering the product redeem codes on STEAM.

Both games will work with the official MS 360 controllers if you have them set up for your PC. They are both also LIVE enabled so achievements earned get added to your XBOX LIVE gamerscore.

You will need a pretty beefy PC setup if you plan to run the game with all the graphic settings maxed out but for those who don't have the highest specs, luckily you can adjust almost every single graphic setting in the game in order to optimize it for your machine.
