It feels almost pointless to discuss how fantastic Arkham City is because it's so renowned. This particular version for the Wii U does offer some extra features that are important to mention.

Arkham City: Armored Edition contains all of the same content as the Game of the Year (GOTY) editions for PS3 and Xbox360 plus a little extra. It includes not only the base Arkham City game, but all of the extra DLC that was released for it including the Catwoman missions, the Riddler's Revenge challenges, the Harley missions, and everything else. In addition to all the features you'll find in the GOTY editions it includes a few Wii U enhancements.

"Armored Edition" means Batman and Catwoman have special armor that isn't available in the other editions of the game. This armor comes with an ability to activate it and go into "BAT" mode after you've absorbed enough kinetic energy. In this mode, you'll move faster and hit harder for a short period of time. It's activated with a button on the gamepad screen, which is conveniently located in the top-left corner.

The utilization of the gamepad screen is a major addition to the game that is not available in other versions. It acts as the menu system for the game, an interactive map with waypoint ability and sonar capabilities, and in a number of different ways based on the tools being used. It's a great way of utilizing the second screen, and a big improvement.

This version does experience some slowdown when encountering large fights with a large number of enemies in the open world. Other than that, the performance is quite good.

Highly recommended if you've never played this game before! In my opinion, this is the best version of the game because of the additional features included (in particular, the integration with the Wii U Gamepad). If you already own the GOTY edition for another system, this version is probably a bit redundant, but if you don't, you should do yourself a favor and get this game!

Compare to other console version, WiiU version is completely different experience. Things are more customizable and more fun to play with WiiU game pad. Graphics and other things are basically the same if those things matter to you. Get this game and you won't be dissapointed!

A very good wii u port from xbox/playstation. Mark Hamill is the Joker - how cool is that? The graphics are great and the story flows really well. My son loves it.

It is a little violent as some reviewers complained about and they say "Bi#$*". So keep that in mind if you are getting it for your kids. It is rated T for teen so just be aware.

I had heard how great the game was on XBOX360 and PS3 but I've been a Nintendo guy for years. I also haven't played an action style game in a long time that really got me into it (I tend to play JRPGs, LEGO series, Mario, Mario Kart, and other Multi-player Wii-esque games) but this game is amazing! Great graphics, cool use of the touch pad, great story, and lots and lots to do. If youre a fan of Batman then you'll love it as well as the game is covered in many characters major and minor throughout the Batman comic series. Do yourself a favor and pick this game up!

I never owned a PS3 or Xbox 360, so this is my first time having the opportunity to play Batman Arkham City. Color me impressed. I can see why it got such rave reviews. I'm not much of a fan of super hero games (so thank goodness my wife bought it for me, because I wouldn't have purchased it myself), but now I think I know why. Usually, games based on super heroes don't make you really feel like you're playing said super hero. This game does. From the detective work, to the combat, to the exploration, Arkham City really makes you feel like you are Batman.

The story includes so many famous villains from Batman's history, and the plot is picking up nicely so far. The RPG elements are welcomed. Earning experience from fighting enemies and leveling up gadgets and combat skills is implemented perfectly. The Gamepad is used to an impressive extent since it's a port from the other two systems. The map and menu functions are very helpful, and using the scan mode when performing detective work is really cool since you see the area through the Gamepad; it's as if you are literally standing in the room or area as Batman.

The more I play the game the more I enjoy it. I'm so glad they brought the game to the Wii U as a launch title so Nintendo fans can enjoy this gem.

While I actually already had this game for the Xbox 360 the price as well as some of the added features and bonus DLC's I didn't get with the previous copy made this an affordable and agreeable purchase. The game shows that the WiiU can indeed hold it's own to the PS3 and Xbox 360 both with gameplay and graphics and the tablet controller features actually made the game more entertaining then the previous one did, case in point unlike with the Xbox 360 version where it shows you a locational map the WiiU version allows a more detailed location map as well as sonar map which uses the tablet screen instead of having to switch many times from map to gameplay like with the 360 version.

Another new gimmick is the B.A.T function, with this version Batman has a armor/hightech suit that absorbs melee attacks and when it reaches a point allows you to after a push of a button become invulnerable and kick major butt for a short time very handy in some of those more stickier situations.Still overall the gameplay is pretty much the same from gliding around the city to kicking groups of thugs around the block.

Still if you have a WiiU I say this game is well worth adding to your game library and for those who already have the game either on the PS3 or Xbox 360 and also have a WiiU I say that while this is repurchasing the same game it's still worth a look into.

Wow = sums it up really. The game is visually impressive with excellent voice acting. For anyone that has always stuck with Nintendo and wants an action packed HD game with all of the bells and whistles, this is for you. This game is so much fun, I don't plan on buying any other games until I have completed it 100%

Well I was pissed off long ago because I only own one console and that one was Wii, I don't have time and money to invest on the other consoles and while I love Nintendo games and I can not get them on the other systems I wasn't able to play this amazing game. So when announced for the Wii U, this game was mi first purchased game for the Wii U and wow I just love it, playing as Catwoman and having all the DLC included is a bonus.

If you got the Wii U and haven't experienced it, you MUST get it and have such an amazing time with this game.

Don't even know why I'm writing this review, because it's pretty much going to echo the sentiment of everyone else...

Gorgeous graphics, crisp combat system, great weaponry and challenging puzzles make this a gem.

Hands down, one of the TOP 10 action games ever devised. They took a great game, ported it, enhanced it and added all of the downloadable content to create one of the most satisfying gaming experiences that I have ever had.

I will say that the Wii U controller takes some getting used to, just because it's a grand departure from what the gaming community has seen thus far. However, once you understand the mechanics, you'll love how interactive it is.

I literally had to tear myself away from this game several times. I've been playing for about 12 hours already, and I'm only at 12%.

The section involving R'as Al Ghul is second to none.

This is a must have for the Wii U.

This is a truly immersive game that really makes you feel like batman himself.
Combat mechanics are outstanding, and you'll never get tired of trying for continuous combos against 20 enemies at once.

However, the Wii U version lags. Although not UNBEARABLE, it's very noticeable compared to the xbox 360 version.
They upped the graphics very slightly on the Wii U version, while losing out frame-rate; this is an unnecessary move.

Definitely pick this game up, but I wouldn't recommend it on the Wii U. The gamepad complements the game decently well, but still not worth the fps issues.
