5.0 out of 5 stars One of my best games!!!!!!!!!!!11 July 4, 2013
Verified Purchase
I tried deleting things from my Kindle Fire HD. It had about 4 GB still showing exclamation mark. It downloads 100% then won't install tried it 3 times still same. I have a suggestion about making an apk about 12 MB and let the remaining download as external data like gameloft does. Please change it otherwise i have to keep on downloading data again and again and it STILL WON'T WORK. But I have to appreciate the game looks awesome. Lots of comments say the same. You people did a great job :)

UPDATE

I tried downloading Arkham City again but this time with 7.5GB free and it installed and worked properly on my 16GB Kindle Fire HD. When I had 4GB free it would download 100% but won't install. Seems there is a glitch which makes it want more than 5 GB free space. The game is awesome. Totally worth it.The graphics are amazing and game play is smooth. Has comics also and the bios are not forgotten.( If you want this game and don't want to clear everything away then I suggest you copy all movies, books etc to Computer and delete from Kindle Fire. If you downloaded big games from gameloft like N.O.V.A 3 MC4 etc the additional data is located in Android/Data cut paste it to computer.WARNING!!! Do not delete game from device as you will lose your progress)

5.0 out of 5 stars Holy Batastic fun, Batman! May 2, 2013

This game is essentially a "timed swipe" game like so many others for Android. That said, it is also a beautifully rendered addition to the most recent Batman games for consoles. Keep in mind that this game is for tablets, so don't expect the depth of Arkham Asylum or Arkham City. The game play is simple and addictive, yet extremely challenging. A worth while purchase.

My biggest complaint is the price point. Paying $5.99 for an Android app is significant. Then to be expected to toss out an additional $25 if you plan to unlock all of the extra goodies is just greedy on W B's part. Granted, a lot of time investment in replaying levels can earn the Wayne Tech points to cut that financial burden. But it really seems like a cheap shot by a big corporation to force players to dump so much into microtransaction store purchases after a hefty initial price tag.

As for the reviews saying that the game stops working after making in game purchases or after a day of running the game; people need to learn how to use their technology. Yes, the game takes longer to load as you unlock or purchase more add-ons. However, that is because there is more data to load. Also, don't leave your device running for days at a time without a reboot and expect it to continue functioning at peak performance. If all else fails, go to Settings > Applications > Running Applications > Batman, then force stop the app and reboot your device. I have found this solves any lagging game play or hung start ups.

All in all a great game and a must for and Batman fanboy (or fangirl!).

5.0 out of 5 stars Very fun and addictive April 22, 2013

though I find tablet games a bit awkward and frustrating at times, it's worth putting up with the controls (or their shortcomings) to play this game. There are times when it seems a bit repetitive though. This isn't like the console game as far as gameplay is concerned but it definitely captures the spirit of the arkham franchise.

4.0 out of 5 stars Exciting! May 13, 2013

This game is a great addition to the arkham series. It fits right in with the theme of the games. This game is based primarily on the fighting. That is what makes this game exciting. Honestly I was not to thrilled about that at first. But now I love it. It is not a traditional button smashing game. You actually watch your enemy and movements and you counter and defend accordingly! So it's always different because you never know what they are going to pull out on you. I play this before I go to sleep and my wife gets irritated with me because I'm making around to much! It's intense, especially challenges.

Overall great awesome game and I love it. Why not 5 stars? I believe that if you paid for a game there should be no in app purchasing and you should just be able to earn points faster.

This is a lot like infinity blade for ipad but with batman. It's really fun and has amazing graphics for a tablet game. I bought it for 6$ but it's now listed for 1$. That's a no brainer.....get this game.

3.0 out of 5 stars meh June 5, 2013

Game was great looking for a tablet game. Great concept and is fun in small doses. Problem is the controls. Response to swips are not up to par, there is lag which doesn't help when you are trying to dog lunatics.

I've read many reviews saying that the game doesn't work, won't install, crashes, etc. My son has a first generation Kindle Fire, and I was worried I would be wasting my money, and he would be disappointed. However, the game works great, but some people may not be familiar with how to deal with the little red exclaimation point error on the Kindle.

If you try to download this game from the cloud, and you get a red exclaimation point (in the lower right of the app icon) that means that the game could not fully download AND install. The overwhelming reason for this is that there is not enough free space on your Kindle for the game to download and install. Even if the game successfully downloads, it has to install fully. Quality titles like this can be several gigabytes, and even through the product description says that it's less than a gigabyte, I had to clear nearly 2.5 gigabytes off my son's Kindle Fire before the game successfully installed and was able to run.

If you download add-ons like the additional costumes, that additional data must be stored on your Kindle, and if you don't have room for it ... that's right, the game will stop working.

If you're having trouble running this game, you'll have to delete nearly all your apps. If that doesn't work, try doing a hard reboot (hold the power button down for about 20 seconds), which will clear your RAM cache. My son has a first generation Kindle Fire, so I know it works on the Kindle. All your apps are stored on the cloud, and you can re-download them later. You might lose your saved games though, so keep that in mind.

If you have a Kindle Fire with a larger drive, or if you're willing to uninstall nearly all your other apps, I promise this app works. Don't blame the developers, blame Amazon for not including a SD card slot on the Kindle Fire.
