Identical to the sleek design from the "Batman" movie series, this slate-colored, 14.5-inch "Batmobile" rolls smoothly and close to the ground, with two deep seats for the Dynamic Duo to recline in. Inside are all the dash features Bat-fans expect: net, smoke, oil slick, and missile releases. Unfortunately, they only work in one's imagination, but this post-modern Batmobile does breaks into two pieces, creating a funky dragster for Batman, and an armored, 10-inch motorcycle for Robin. Other bat-features include a rear-end jet pack (when the Caped Crusaders are in an extra hurry), a front-end missile array, and one large missile. All that's missing is Batman and Robin. This incarnation of the Batmobile is all about size: TALL tailfins, WIDE stance, and LONG wheelbase. But what points are gained for size, are lost when considering paint and detailing. The car is molded in some bluish, slightly iridescent plastic that leaves unsightly whorls and scratches in the finish. The painted areas are sloppily done and poorly aligned. In all, the car looks much better on the website than it does in actuality-which may explain why it and most of the other larger Batman vehicles don't come in windowed packaging. The design, however IS cool-very emotive and exotic. I just wish that the vehicle matched the level of attention and care that was obviously taken in creating the new 6" figures that are meant to accompany the thing.

We bought this TOY for our son who is a Batman junkie to PLAY WITH! What I do not understand is this Batmobile is sold in the TOY SECTION although it has not been built for play! It would be great to put up on a shelf and look at, the details or amazing but no 4 year old is going to do that! The "jet pack" does not stay on the batmobile or Batman! The rear tail of it is extremely sharp which makes it near impossible to push around on the floor & they continually fall off and we have to reattach them!! I would love to see a line of BATMAN TOYS THAT CAN BE PLAYED WITH instead of sitting high on a shelf!! If our son was not so attached to this batmobile we would take it back and get something different! If you are buying this to play with, keep searching!!

This toy looks great and cool but the pieces keep falling off the car. My 5 yr old got it for his birthday but I keep having to put the pieces on it over and over again. And Robin is nowhere to be found. So Batman doesnt have a Robin rider.
